Smelling scents while dreaming

I dreamt about dog waste (poop). I just saw it ( i don't know if it was on the ground or anything, BUT in real life while dreaming it i actually SMELT it...and i turned up my face because of the horrible scent.

Does anyone know what this could possibly mean? i have been trying to relate it to a scripture or something of reference...what i do no was that it was STINK!!!!!!!

I really don't know right off bat, but I have had dreams were I could taste, then I woke up with a bad taste in my mouth.

Oh and i forgot to mention that the night before i dreamt about eating something that had been in the trash...and i tasted it, it tasted "tarnished" however food out of a garbage taste.

Does anybody know what this means? or have had any similar experience in dreams... Over the years it feels as if my 5 senses are activating into my dream (allowing me to feel and taste and smell exactly what i am dreaming in reality) at first it was feeling, now its smell and taste all i need really is hearing and "sight"-i guess sight will come in the form of a vision.

Hey Ysa, please forgive me for not responding to your PM. There is something the Lord showed to me and I just havent had the time to get into a quiet place to tell you. I'm at work now eating lunch, well, trying to. I smelt road kill in a dream and I mean it was horrible. Later I found out that the rat and the smell of the rat meant something that I am dealing with and it was stinking up my life spiritually, mentally, physically, everything. It was like a smell of failure or something...pray and ask the Lord...you are gifted Ysa you don't need to keep trying to ask others and get confirmation. Trust yourself...I believe in my heart you already know what this dream means.

The fact that your eating something out of the trash is a little odd and the only thing that comes to my spirit is that you need spiritual nourishment. Maybe you are involved in someone or something that you look as spiritual edification but really its garbage. If you need nourishment maybe you haven't been reading as much God wants you to, or praying or fasting.

i will admit that i havent been reading so much but i am starting back up again with praying to God. As i only have 3 weeks until my finals for my llb (bachelors of law)-this is it...it's VERY hard to fast under these stressing times when my physical body needs hot meals and late night snacks to keep up with this hectic schedule.
I dont know why i smelt and tasted these foul things it there especially the dog poop. the garbage can and eatiing out of it can be interpreted but i dont know why i wud see dog poop and then smell it...

Hello ysa,

I'm not getting an interpretation for this.

However, I would like to mention something. These types of dreams are often called lucid dreams. All that simply means is that your senses are very much alive during the dream. It is as though you were physically doing, seeing, smelling that very thing in an awake state. They can at times be frightening since it seems so "real" but it's just the mind being somewhat overactive. This can often happen more frequently when there is a lot of stress going on at that present time. Also, lucid dreaming is interpreted many different ways by different people. However, I have found what you've experienced to be the most common type. It can happen on many different "levels" as well.
