Slipknot...I just don't understand how people can get into their music. My sister's boyfriend/soon to be fiancee is friends with them, so I'm sure they're nice people or whatever, but I just can't get into the music.

I found a book of their sheet music once in Biggars! That was funny because the vocal line was like percussion notation. There was just no melody!

Utterly terrible. They need to learn how to play their instruments, and stop name-dropping metal bands who they can't hold a candle to in an attempt seem "authentic."
If you must listen to mallcore, listen to something like Gwar with some actual technical skill involved. Even better, listen to music.

they are great sounding i think, only thing i dont like about them is that they are not christian and have pentegrams on alot of there stuff. they sound awesome though, the drummer is amazing and i love the vocals.

They are not 'satanic' how much of you may call them, even, some of them are christians, they say they do that because of the 'scary image'. Even if they were not christian, you mean you dont like people because they are not christian? What up with that?

I have listened to them. Simplistic power-chord riffing over fairly poor drumming. And meaningful lyrics? What is so meaningful, praytell, in "I wanna slit your throat and **** the wound/I wanna push my face in and feel the swoon"? Grammar idiocy aside, if I wanted teenage angst I already have it in abundance. That and the whole language deal.. dropping an F-bomb every other line does not make them more effective, it makes them look like they were written by a giggling 10-year-old.

no bro, i dont dislike people if they aren't christians. Jesus didnt so why should i do anything different then him. i just choose not to listen to them because of the fact that it doesnt bother them to support satanic images, and they do not lift up god in any of there songs. dont get me wrong, im sure they are awesome guys, and they sound really good, but they have enough talent to not have to sell-out to the "scary-image" and use satanic images, blaspheming lyrics, and swear like a sailor.

i like slipknot, i liked them b4 i was saved and still do to this day. i think they are talented. yes they may play powercords but some of it can be complicated. and as far as their drumming. Joey(the main drummer, there are 3) is awsome. try find a metal drummer that can play 1/16 notes consistantly, there arent that many. as a christian i dont much care for the pentagrams and 666 all over the drums and such. i could care less about their image. i bought the cd b4 i ever seen what they looked like. i'm not trying to defend them or offend anyone elses opinion, but having purchased both of their cd's i can say from experience that they dont drop f bombs every other word and no they dont lift God up in their music but they dont really denounce Him either. just my $.02. sorry if i offended anyone

If you're listening to music that is not edifying the body of Christ, then I believe it's defecating on it. In other words, if it's not praising God, it's denouncing God because there should be no question of the holiness of everything we create. satan is a genius at 99.9% truths. The whole angry message of Slipknot may seem enticing but he leaves out that piece of truth that you NEED to know.
If you're not confessing in word and in deed that Jesus is God, then you're missing the whole point of why we're here to begin with, and Slipknot definitely does not represent Christ in any way as far as I see it.
Who's not FOR Christ is anti-Christ and a slipknot is a knot that is used to put people to death. Be careful you don't hang yourself with it. Christ came to give us life one hundred percent.
