Sleep paralysis/battle demons at night/discernment

Hello everyone, name is Frankie and I just recently joined the forum. I joined to talk a little about battling demons at night while you sleep. Such as waking up at 3:33AM or actually encountering a demon in the bedroom. I know it sounds crazy and or insane but assure I am NOT. I have been God fearing Jesus loving Christian my whole life. I am well aware of angles and demons, and what happens in our world "I am referring to the battle behind the holy veil that we can't see". I recently had an encounter that I will NEVER forget. I woke in the middle of the night to see a small black eyed demon in the top shelf in the closet in my bedroom. I was sleeping alone as my wife fell asleep with our daughter in the other room. This is the first time I had a encounter with a Demon at night. This time being MORE clear and real than any in the past. I was laying on my back"supine" and found myself paralyzed and unable to move or speak. It was extremely hard to breathe, but could also be that I was hyper ventilating from fear. As this little Demon entity and I made eyes contact it started floating towards me. Fear in increased I tried so hard to cry out Jesus name until I finally...I broke free! The demon left the room and I was released from my paralyzing experience. All I can think of is this verse....For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12
Is there anyone else out there that has experienced this before?? If so please share. If I posted this thread in the wrong forum...I apologize.

Yup......you definitely posted this in the wrong forum.

Couple of questions:
1) It was the middle of the night. How do you know the demon had black eyes?
2) How could you see the demon in the top shelf of your closet if you were on your back, paralzyed, and unable to move?
3) How could you make eye contact with the demon on the top shelf of your closet if you were paralyzed?

I know his eyes were black because I could see it "pillow raises head to 45degrees" so I can see whats in front of me. Closet has no doors on it..its wide open. I am NOT lieing..all the truth.

So then, you weren't lying supine as you previously stated?

....sounds like a bad dream to me. The more you occupy your conscious mind and thoughts with what I call "Dark Christianity", the more your sub-conscious will use those thoughts in your dreams.

Yes I was supine"laying flat on my back but head was sightly propped up." Why are you questioning me like I am not telling the truth to you. That bothers me. You think its cool to see stiff like that. Its beyond horrifying. I am here for support or help...maybe to talk with others who have experienced something like this..not to be badgered by you.

NOT A DREAM!! This was as real as it could be..I know the difference. DO NOT sit there and tell me that. I KNOW what I saw,felt, and experienced.

This is not something that easy for me to talk about..last thing I need is someone brushing it off saying it was a dream. Or it was nothing..or that I am crazy. I KNOW what I saw.

This is supposed to be Christian forum...means believing in God and angles...which also means the devil and demons. They do show themselves once in awhile. So you guys don't believe me?? That's like saying I'm in a dream right now while I'm typing this..IT WASN'T A DREAM!!!!!!!!!

Your experience is not that uncommon - your symptoms are consistent with sleep paralysis with conscious or lucid dreaming (sometimes called hallucinations, but in this sort of case associated with a partial dream state).

Normally when you go into dreaming sleep, your voluntary muscle control is 'disconnected' to stop you acting out your dreams. As sleepwalkers demonstrate, this doesn't always work properly, but sometimes the opposite effect occurs - dream paralysis while conscious.

Your conscious awareness is generally only partial during dreams - the dept of consciousness can vary, and it's possible to be fully conscious while dreaming (I've had this on a few, memorable, occasions).

It's less common to become conscious while still in dream paralysis - it typically comes around the time of normal waking, and is often accompanied by a sense of weight on the chest - and sometimes personified as an evil presence (e.g. the 'Old Hag'). Bedroom 'alien abductions' are contemporary versions of this effect.

You seem to have experienced both waking sleep paralysis and a partial dream state. As George says, if it was the middle of the night, i.e. dark, you probably wouldn't be able to tell if the demon's eyes were actually black or not; this detail suggests a dream state, although your eyes can be open and seeing the room for real.

Don't know about this being in the wrong forum..
Just so you know though, This is not an uncommon happening...Millions of people experience this...Night terrors, sleep paralysis... It is real, you're not crazy, It is an actual attack on you by demons.....You can even stop it by claiming the blood of Jesus over yourself...You can prevent it by claiming the covenant blood over yourself before you go to sleep. If you are born again, you can put a permanent stop to this kind of thing....

Frankie....I'm always amazed that so many Christians don't believe that Satan and his demons actually attack Christians. For that matter....how many Christians do not believe in the devil and his demons at all.
