Can a person "Know" the truth and refuse to obey the truth?

Good question, Yes.

Indulge yourself in the world, love the world and you will refuse the Truth.

If you love the world, you cannot love God - 1 John 2:15-17.

You cannot serve two masters, you will love one and hate the other - Luke 16:13

If you hate God, you would hate the Son also - John 10:30

If you hate the Son (The way, the Truth, and the Life), then you will hate the Truth.

I'm afraid to say there's many Christians today despite professing to love God/Truth actually hates God/Truth by their actions and the things they esteem.
