Seeing "333" repeatedly.

Ok I feel I may get some funny looks for asking this, but this is the only place I figured I could as an not either get teased or a response from some weird psychic new age person.

Here's the deal...

I had to create a new email address a while back and I put the numbers 333 in it because of a line in a U2 song. The name of the song is called "unknown caller" and its use in the song is a veiled reference to the Bible verse Jerimiah 33:3.

I did it because I really liked the message in the song, but now it is has become something down right haunting.

I wake up in the middle of the night, look at the clock and it is 3:33 right on the dot. This happens over and over and over and over. (Just like in the song). I mean it has probably happened 30 times in the last six months. I have begun thinking God is trying to tell me something.

Any thoughts on this?

Jer. 33:3 > God is telling you to call Him and He will reveal things to you. So, if you wake up at that time, pray. This is a special time at night when there is peace and silence. God used to wake me up 4 in the morning. He has your attention, listen to him. Be silent. We don't listen much, we are too busy during the day and so that what I see happening.

I'm completely wrong here, but since 666 is the number of man, then 333 should be the number of a child. Gratz on your new baby.

I have a similar thing that happens to me, often I'll look at the clock on my pc, and it's 11:11. It happens alot, rather strange, but I don't pay too much attention to it, but I understand why you would ask.

I have had a similar thing. For me it was patterns in time. For example 12:34. The most common one was 22:22. After seeing these for a while I noticed the 2s in 22:22 looked a little like ducks and God said it was time to get all my ducks in a row - ie bring good order to things in my life that weren't in order (and there was quite a bit of disorder at the time).

Whilst it was happening it was somewhat unnerving. Several times I breathed in sharply with surprise when I saw a time pattern. I asked friends if they saw time patterns, but none did.

Although I'm still in the process of getting things in order, I've stopped seeing the patterns.

It could be as simple as God asking you to call Him, as has been suggested. If this doesn't ring true with you, what other thoughts do you have about it?

I started noticing 111 a lot, so I started recording the places that it would pop up. I now relate it to food (physical and spiritual nutrition). The personal message for me can also be summed up by: "get your ducks in order".

Then it seems like you are always seeing it, when really it's just the number that actually breaks into your conscience while others don't. You might always see 2:19 or 3:59, but you just wouldn't notice them.

This happened with that whole 11:11 crowd. They thought 11:11 had special significance because they would always notice it. But that's all it was, just noticing it while ignoring the 100's of other numbers you see a day.

I understand you point and when I first started getting the number patterns I considered that.

As I was thinking about it, it seemed to me that this was no different to seeking God for the interpretation of a prophetic picture.

However, if one was to go looking for these things, that might be a different matter.

I agree with this completely. I call it the paisley tie theory. Loaded with patterns and subtle colors, you can pull the average paisley tie out, put on shrts and suits of different colors and see how it accentuates various subtle colors in the tie pulling them to the front. Sort of like kids . . . my wife and I look completely different, yet when each of us show the photos of our kids to people, my friends and family immediately see how they look like me and vice versa . . . uncanny.

I was talking of my situation, noo one else's. In my situation I understood it to be a prophetic thing and God spoke to me through it.

In my experience, God does speak through unusual events and for me, the pattern times were one of many things God has used.
