A reprobate would not concern himself with such a question, but then again, we do not know who is one until their last breath.

Firstly, is "reprobate" the best we can do in translation of the word "adokimos"? What does it mean?

If we look at Romans 1:19, 21, 23, 25, 28 for example, does it look like they did not at least at one time know the truth?

Considering that God has "given them up/over" (Romans 1:24, 26, 28) and in light of Ephesians 4:19 where Paul says people can also give themselves up/over and become empty in their minds (Ephesians 4:17) and calloused/past feeling/dead to feeling (Ephesians 4:19) I'd say there comes a point where they can become "too far gone".

If you talk with a hardened atheist, it's almost impossible to see or hear any light coming from them (Ephesians 4:18). Romans 1 makes it clear they knew and rejected and thus have no excuse.

Since God turned them over and since people can turn themselves over, IMO people can become too far gone. Even though we can get a strong sense of someone's condition, I have to leave the final determination up to God who alone knows if there is any small spark of light left.

Last thought: there's a reason we're warned and commanded to not be deceived by false teachers and teachings. As you note, all these things have to do with our minds.

in google reprobate is:-

   So from aChristian view point a reprobate is someone who will not accept Jesus as saviour.

I suppose a reprobate could realize he's gone in a direction away from God, but at that point he really wouldn't care any longer. His biggest obstacle between him and Christ would be----himself.

In the KJV "reprobate" appears to mean "rejected [by God]". Here are the verses in the KJV that use the word "reprobate"

Jeremiah 6:30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.​

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;​

2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.​

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.​

It looks like a "reprobate mind", in Romans 1:28, might mean "a rejected way of thinking" and that doesn't seem to mean that people are "too far gone" it looks like it means that their way of thinking about things is rejected by God.

Look out in to the world today. See how much sin is going on and its as if they don't care about wrong or right. They refuse to listen to God they also say there is no God. Those are they He turns over to a reprobate mind. It was not written to believers. We the righteous we RUN to Him and if we miss it just repent KNOW He loves you forgives you and cleanses you from all unrighteousness. So we get up dust off and keep going.

We can't make it on our own. We tell Christ.. man unless you help I am going to fall. Its why He came! We need Him.. He is the way He is the truth He is the life. YES AMEN PRAISE GOD GLORY TO JESUS!
