Hopefully we will have a dry day today though the temps are still rather chilly

It was supposed to rain last night but didn't. Things are finally starting to warm up!

Afternoon all - yet another damp grey windy and dreary day. I really look forward to the end of this spell of nasty weather.

Just had my last 'meaty' lunch till after Pascha - lentil and bacon soup - hot and tasty

Take care everyone affected by this awful weather - stay safe, warm and dry . Eventually it will pass

Yes @RileyG - we are entering Orthodox Lent [ often referred to as Great Fast ]
On Meatfare Sunday we say goodbye to meat [ this includes fish as well as it has bones and a spine ] During this week we continue eating dairy produce and indeed try and use up our cheese and eggs so we do not waste food.
From the Sunday following Meatfare Sunday [ termed Cheesefare Sunday] we are now in the Great Fast and preparing for Pascha .

I hope everyone here will have a blessed Lent as they also prepare for the Feast of Feasts - the Resurrection of Our Lord God and Saviour

A Blessed Lenten Season to you Anhelyna. I spent they day in the hospital yesterday. I have pneumonia. I’d appreciate your prayers during this time as has CT scan yesterday and there was something they saw accidentally and want to do another on my abdomen. I have been terribly sick and I do not need anymore problems.

Hi guys.. rough end to the week I got home from work and came inside and heard a huge bang and crash my parked car was taken out by a drunk driver still a little shaken 12 hours later because if I had of been home even 3 minutes later I wouldn’t be here
