As the Biden administration continues to wage its aggressive proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, Donald Trump’s campaign promise to end the conflict in short order opens the door to initial steps for peace between superpowers.

In a speech on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Donald Trump on his election victory on Tuesday and confirmed he was open to speaking with the new president-elect directly. Putin also referred to Trump as “courageous” based on his immediate response to the assassination attempt against him in July.

The Russian president made his remarks during an address at the Valdai Discussion Club, a conference held in the southern Black Sea resort town of Sochi, according to Russia Today.

Was this article copied from Pravda? Reality check: Russia started the war. Russia's barbarism horrified the world. The US has given them financial assistance only, often in the form of obsolete equipment.
No more Soviet propaganda, please

I don't like to trust Putin.

My opinion only.
Nobody trust Putin as far as I know. But it interesting to compare the narrative with the reality.

Yup. I can only pray for Russia and Ukraine. Praying for peace throughout our world.

The Russians realize that Trump intends to end the war and that they are facing some tough negotiations.

You are very wise. I take it further. I don't trust people whom Putin trusts.
Who would trust the USA at this point either? Evidently many countries and their leaders trust Putin enough to do business with them.

Also Fantine, forever wars are not good. Neoliberal bloodlust should be satisfied at this point. Haven't enough Ukranians died?

Don't break our hearts! Haven't we seen enough slaughter of the innocents in Gaza?
Netanyahu and Putin have a lot in common and neither deserves our support.

So Putin is just going to mass murder the people in the territories he captures?
