Presbyterian Views on Angels

I do believe in guardian angels. Will this contradict Presbyterian teaching?

Our confession of faith does not make any statements about guardian angels, you won't be contradicting Presbyterian doctrine if you do. The statement that comes closest to addressing this is an injunction against worshipping angels:

"Religious worship is to be given to God, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; and to Him alone; not to angels, saints, or any other creature: and, since the fall, not without a Mediator; nor in the mediation of any other but of Christ alone." (WCF 21.2)

You shouldn't have any problems here, I'm sure there different opinions within our ranks!

Why do you believe in guardian angels?

Presbyterians say we can speculate sure, but we cannot say if its true or not unless revealed by the Bible. Not for us to know.

Chapter 1 of Hebrews speaks of angels guarding and ministering to the faithful. It does not speak of personal guardian angels assigned to each believer.

Get a better chart this is only primarly shows liberal views of Presbyterians and Reformed churches.
