Some prefer to defend the teachings of Jesus, some only their religion.
Considering Jesus was Jewish and all of her original apostles were Jewish.....he was very much finding a religion, but you're right, he didn't want hypocrisy or empty rituals....but he established certain rituals and traditions that have been important to Christians for millennia

You really add nothing of value to this conversation.

Seemed valuable to Jesus

Oh? Did He tell you that Himself?

Read the transcript

So the answer is no.
You are not aware, or do not care, concerning that which Christ the Lord said concerning these things?

Yes, feeding the hungry, caring for the poor and widows, loving all as self in general.

James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Yes.

I agree 100%.

He also founded an established Church.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against. Matthew 16:18

The rock He spoke of was in the preceding verse. It was truth from God, not from man. Truth formed the church movement. Truth could not be represented by the traditions or governments of man, hence a human institution.

Didn't someone years ago post that the name Peter meant pebble. Not monstrous rocks the size of busses.
Was He not referring to the huge cornerstone that was lain first when building the Temple itself. Wasn't He speaking of Himself?

No. His name, Cephas, literally means Rock, NOT pebble.

Can you provide evidence.
I'm not disputing what you wrote. This subject is one I struggle with.
Is that "Rock" the same word translated when Jesus spoke about "not one stone.....?
Aren't we, the bride of Christ, the Spiritual building blocks of the New Temple?

I'm only stating Cephas means the word "Rock." Not pebble.

Happened to find this:
And I did not see a temple in it, for the LORD God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.

"I go to prepare a place for you".
At the time of Christ's Earthly ministry, a man would go to the home of the girl he wanted to marry. He offered her a cup of wine. If she drank the wine, that meant yes and he would then say to her"I go to prepare a place for you".
Jesus told us "-In my father's house are many mansions".
He came to our home, this earth. He brought a contract or Testament.
When we became saved, He left to go to His Father's house to build each of us a mansion. A building block of the Temple that will stand forever.
That's as I've seen it most of my life in Christ.

Peter was the first Bishop in Rome. Code word: Babylon because of persecution.

Dionysius wrote of the planting that occurred in Rome by Peter and Paul.

Archaeological digs were conducted to disprove the remains of Peter were in Rome.

The evidence discovered was the opposite.

Pope Paul VI was able to announce that conclusive proof had been discovered–for instance, neighboring crypts on which were written grafitti such as, “Buried near Peter.” For a popular account of the excavations, read John Evangelist Walsh’s The Bones of St. Peter.
