Why did God make Ostriches?
So humans could eat Ostriches in the desert.

Ostriches can live in the desert.
Should there be more Ostrich farms?
Ostrich farms in the desert? Considering the amount of water and grain required, that doesn't sound cost effective at all. You'd probably be much better off farming edible plants that can handle the dry conditions.

What edible plants?

Ostriches require less food and water than cattle.

There are still a few ostrich farms in the California deserts, it was a big thing once back when ostrich plumes were in demand for women's' hats.

There are ostrich farms in Az which is mostly desert. But i don't understand why you are questioning this creation as opposed to any other animal such as the bear which to me has no purpose at all.

Some desert countries make most of their money selling oil.
Then when the oil price goes down for long periods of time.
It makes the price of food go up.

If they had Ostrich farms it might help stabilize the price of food.

What does this have to do with either Creation or evolution?

I didn't know they were a food people rely on. Although there are farms here i have never seen ostrich food available. Can you eat the bird also i used to have ducks and people clambered for their eggs. I never ate them. So why not geese an ducks. They don't bite either if raised from youth and they're cheaper to feed. Take less space and you can have them in your own yard.

Bears do actually serve a purpose, they protect the ecosystem by depleting the amount of picanic baskets in National forests to prevent the overpopulation of said picanic baskets.

Yes, I see your issue. You are an optimist. Even after many years on the forum you still hope for relevant, logical, structured, unambiguous, intelligent, useful dialogue. It is a wonderful dream and admire your ability to hold onto it, despite all evidence to the contrary. Perhaps, one day.

You can. Ostrich meat is a red meat which is somewhat similar to beef. Although I have no idea whether farming them on a mass scale is actually a viable prospect with the returns that the OP is suggesting.

Ostriches can go two weeks without water.

Ostrich eggs are 24 times larger than chicken eggs,
that promotes sharing food with other people.

What does any of this have to do with creation or evolution?

Ostriches have evolved to have desert adaptations.

Ostrich eggs have an intelligent design.

That is certainly a claim, but they don't live in JUST deserts.

They live in the Savannah, and especially in the Sahels, which is between the savannahs to the south and the Sahara to the north.

What religions are allowed to eat ostriches ?

I find it ... ironic ... that, while people were ridiculing the Bible for placing bats in with fowls in Leviticus as "unclean" ...

Leviticus 11:13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
15 Every raven after his kind;
16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing,
and the bat.

It was the eating of bats that started the Covid 19 pandemic.

Are you asking if its safe to eat ostriches ?
