Still new at this, I believe this a prayer thread and I need prayer that the Lord will help me to learn how to teach teens. I do a real pretty good job at one on one. I do an ok job of teaching them. I have been doing youth ministry going on a period of two an half years. I had plenty of help at the beginning but now I don't have really anyone and I know the Lord is working on it. I also need prayer that where some people will volunteer to help. Then prayer because quiet a few of the teens are in need of the Lord's help. They have anger and I feel like the Lord has shown me that they feel like misfits. I really try to encourage each of them and check on how there weeks are going. The church I go to is a small church and I have around 15 youth that come and most of them don't even attend my church but goto other churches.

Hi, if 15 youths are coming to this youth ministry, it must be a great place to be! I commend you for your efforts, and will pray that you receive able bodies to help you. I have a hunch you're doing fine on your own... have faith and confidence that the Lord will provide, blessings!

Yes I believe there is success but sometimes help would be awesome. And part of how I feel is I would love to be able to teach in away that grabs their attention a lot better and for it to help them into days world. I am learning about the different groups that I have had to work with and from a couple of years ago there were more church teens that came now there are a lot more teens that are hurting and mostly girl's. That's why I could use prayer for help that some ladies or couples could help me for these hurt girls so thanks for the prayers I sure do love this sight and the people on it.

I definitely look for all the help I can get. The young people are amazing to want help them see that there is a God who cares about them and wants to get to know them. The parts I have enjoyed is seeing some of them catch on and get excited. There have been about I think close to twenty over the last two and half years that have really done alright. And in truth I wouldn't want to trade any of being in the process of mentoring young people for anything else. I think some times I mess up and feel I haven't done enough or things out side my controls like my church and how things are with really no one place for the youth that some how I should be able to handle it. But that's something I am learning also that I can only do what I can do tell the Lord opens more doors . Thanks for your prayers

Thanks Linus it's really neat the Jeremiah 29:11 I usually tell all the teens that verse. It's hard when you see all of what some of these teens have had to go through. Like one young middle school girl when on her birthday last year I think it was that her house was raided by the police for a drug raid. Her dad was dealing in drugs he finally I think has stopped doing that stuff but she is one of the few youth I have seen go through a lot. Can't get her to come to youth right now but I have been praying at times for that family. I see a need out here where I would love to see a ton of people get out and touch there communities to help these young people lives so they won't go down that same dark road. Thanks for your prayers
