Ephesians 5:3-4
3 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints;
4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

Ephesians 5:8-12
8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light
9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
10 trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;
12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.

I agree with your wife.

Coarse jesting and crude joking are attempts to elicit laughs by crossing a line into impropriety. The use of foul language, sexual innuendo, or rude or racist comments means that a so-called joke had to appeal to baser instincts in order to earn laughs. Ephesians 5:3–4 warns against coarse jesting: “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.” It is interesting that coarse jesting is included in this list of more grievous sins that are “improper for God’s holy people.”

I think its light humor and unoffensive.

I agree with your wife also. What is the point of putting this on your car? It's certainly not a Christian message. It's derogatory, not funny.

Respect your wife. She is going to be embarrassed at the least when people who know you personally see this not-very-funny bumper sticker.

There have to be other slogans you could turn to instead.

Meh, it doesn't seem coarse to me.

Consider though, how you lead her and any children you might have through your example.

Does it make her feel like you're advertising that you're a flirt?

Though me being a single man @All names were chosen : do find it a little silly, but to be considerable towards your wife, that would be important. This is good advice, here by Sketcher which I agree and did not take into consideration.

I think its light humor and unoffensive.

It's rather offensive to your wife really... kind of a slap in her face that.

Others have stated the Biblical view but man, that's really an insult to her too... I mean, what kind of husband says that about himself to other women, even with a tag just kidding on it...? The "just kidding" makes it seem your an available guy, instead of a loving husband.

Maybe try respecting her more... for real.

Just remove the "Just Kidding" part and you should be fine.:)

If not that... I agree with others, if your wife finds it offensive, you should just remove it. Imagine if it said "Sorry guys I'm a Lesbian." "Just Kidding". Would you want that on your wife's car?

I tend to agree with you that it's light humor and not particularly offensive, but at the same time many might use it as an excuse to talk ill of God, and not everyone have the same humor, and I really think this is a matter for you and your wife, not a theological question at all. If it means a lot to your wife that you shouldn't have this sticker, and if it don't mean anything to you, then I'd say the matter should be clear to you: Do what might make your wife happy, instead of creating an argument about something that shouldn't need to be an argument.

I also agree with your wife. Our society has moved to accept a lifestyle so I think it sends the wrong message to play with words like that on a Christian's car. No good can come from it.

I don't find it overly offensive, but I don't find it funny either. I'd probably wonder what on earth you were actually trying to say with it.

But if it bothers your wife, then prioritise that relationship, would be my advice.

I agree with your wife.
Yes it is kind of funny, but that doesn't mean its a good thing.
Is it something you want your children seeing and asking you about?

I'm sure there are other funny bumper stickers that you could both agree on, why not find something you can both be happy with? You are not just yourself any longer, but part of a new whole and her wishes matter as much as yours.
