My niece starts chemo tomorrow for lymphoma

I never heard of this but I guess the hospital measured her head and is making her a wig. I do worry about how sick the chemo is going to make her.

Losing your hair is often a side effect of the treatment. Though assure you niece when it grows back (and it will), it will be thicker than ever. It's just temporary.

Today is the day At 1:45 she will begin with getting labs to make sure her levels are where they need to be, to receive the chemo. Assuming all goes well there, her entire appointment will be 4 1/2 hours long.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts open, trusting in Your power and love. As this chemotherapy treatment begins, we ask for Your divine protection and covering over every part of the body, mind, and spirit.

Lord, shield every healthy cell, organ, and hair follicle.

Let the medicine do only what it is meant to do—target what is harmful and leave UNTOUCHED what is whole. Surround every drip, every dose, and every moment with Your peace and presence.

Bring comfort in times of weakness, strength in moments of pain, and hope that rises each day. Calm every fear, and fill her heart with courage. May Your angels stand guard in the treatment room, and may Your healing hand be ever-present.

Grant wisdom to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers. Guide their hands and hearts with precision and compassion.

And through it all, may Your grace abound. Let this journey be one that leads not just to healing, but to deeper faith, unwavering hope, and unshakable peace.
