To be born at all, is a necessary pre-condition to be able to choose to receive Jesus Christ as saviour and to be appointed to eternal life! Please understand that you are chosen, you are precious to God and that you have been born for a reason and a purpose and that God loves you very much!

That's not necessarily a bad thing, at least not from the POV of God's use of your mom and of you. He uses, (even INTENDS, according to Joseph), all things for good. "Such things must come; but woe to the one through whom they come."

I felt this way for 30+ yrs because I hated the evil I did but could not control it!! But then I accepted YHWH as my creator GOD and Christ as my saviour and viola, a new world opened where I was no more the evil bastard that I was! Halleluyah, Halleluyah. Halleluyah!!!

I'm sorry, you must be really struggling to say something like your mom should have aborted you. That's a really sad thing to say. I'm sure your mom loves you. I'm sorry you don't have the best relationship with your family. Resenting your mom isn't going to help you. It will only hurt you as you hold on to negative feelings. Try to forgive her. I know it isn't easy to forgive, but we are called to. Ask God for help.

Don't let your heart become hardened. You have value, you are a child of God and He loves you. Pray about these things. Ask for God to soften your heart and to help you not hold on to resentment any longer. It doesn't make whatever your mom might have done ok (I don't know the details) but holding onto resentment just hurts you and makes it less likely for things to get better. And things can get better.

But just because your mother said it does not affect your worth/value in gods sight.
It should not affect your own value in your eyes.

I was 14 when I got pregnant with my son, and God knows I love him more than life itself.

I didn't believe in abortion (I've always seen it as murder), I married his father (bad, bad, bad decision) and I kept and raised him.

Now that we are both much older (he's in his late 30's), I realize the best course of action back then would have been to have given him up for adoption, but I was too young and too stupid back then to realize it.

I took him with me in my own walk through hell, and he deserved far better.

I told him that I felt that way, and he told me that while life was hard for us all, he doesn't regret a day of his life, doesn't at all regret knowing me and having me for a mother, even if he may have had an easier life with adoptive parents. (All of us suffered abuse by his father's hand).

Maybe your just young yet... But it's my guess that someday when you're older, you'll look back on your life and appreciate the good, after having learned to overcome the bad.

Hello Chris, i am sorry that You feel that way.

I will pray for You that You may find peace knowing that Jesus loves You so much, more than any human can ever love you.

You are not a mistake. God does not make mistakes. He is perfect. And he loves us so much that he has made it possible for us hopeless sinners to come to live for eternity with Him, in a place where there is no more darkness, no more fear, no more pain, no more loneliness. There we will live with God and each other for eternity, in neverending happiness and joy. Although we are sinners, this is possible for us, because of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross. Jesus has suffered for all our sins on the cross, he has suffered all the punishments that we would deserve for our sinning against God. After finishing his work on the cross, he was buried, but on the third day He has risen from the dead, therefore it was proven that He truly is the Son of God, and he is now in heaven with God the Father.

Now we can cry out to Jesus, who is interceding for us to God the Father, and we can lay all heavy burdens before Him. We can cry to Jesus for forgiveness of sin. We can cry out for help in any situation. Jesus is alive and he knows your heart, He knows all your sadness. He has endured all of these emotions himself, to an unbearable degree, which probably none of us can even imagine.

But God is not a God that is indifferent to Your pain and suffering. God is seeing all your pain, and he knows exactly the situation you are in.

I am sorry if it won't be a word of comfort for You now, but i have to tell You, i think that sometimes God permits a certain kind of sadness so that we may turn to Him, He who is the only true source of happiness and peace.

The only thing i know to do when sadness overcomes me is, get on my knees and pray to God. Tell him everything that wears you down. All your sadness, you can tell God anything that troubles Your heart. He hears and He surely is not indifferent to you.

I believe God will help You and i will pray for you.

Finally i hope the following bible verse can give you some hope:

John 14:1-3:

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Your mom apparently was not a prophet seeing the future mistakes she might make in raising you. Are you a better prophet than she was?

Why not trust that God can take a messy life and make it fantastic? Your mind is yours to control, enlighten, strengthen by inviting the Holy Spirit into your life. If you really think you know a better way - prove it by allowing God to remodel you.
