The question is: How much cosmetics should a man use? There seem to be very various types of attitude about this these days, and some feel clean and tidy just by using toilet-paper, razor (and maybe foam) and some big bottle with soap/shampoo - while others do a lot more. So men, what do you think is needed to avoid being sloppy? And what do you women think of what a man should use and not use? What is considered normal seem to have changed a lot in just a decade or two, and I also heard it is differences between the US and Europe about this (that European men use more stuff).

Men with actual make-up I find odd. Especially stuff like mascara or anything that adds femininity to the features. I can understand tinted moisturizers or concealer, but not eye make-up.

I think it used to be popular back in the 80's (hair bands) but today, no. I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't have done it back in the 80's but I was too young anyway.

yeah I think any type of makeup is too far. Any type of products to take care of germs, smells, and facial hair is just fine, anything more than that is pushing it really imo. Also, I use hand lotion a lot because in cold weather my knuckles crack, stuff like that I think is fine too. As long as it isn't some kind of like girly fruit scent lotion

I've actually kinda considered using "makeup" products in the past....there's that neck and face lifter....I have really soft features, much too soft for a man imo. I've also thought about using foundation and concealer, but that's more because I'm extremely vain than anything.

But no makeup so far...and DEFINITELY no mascara.

Hmmm......

I don't think you need to wear any type of make up to avoid being sloppy. But I think it depends on the guy. I would probably say he should very little.

Yes things have changed, I mean there were times when it was not all that unusual for men to wear cosmetics. So it's not something that's really new.
