Shalom,
Last Night I was wondering.. Was Lord Krishna a prophet in Islam? The Hadith says that there have been 100,000 (It might have ben 122 or somewhere near) prophets, sent to different Nations.
So I googled it, and found this small article from Answers.com
It is written in the Taarikh-I-Baabul Kaaf, "Kaana fil Hinde NABIYYAN aswadal lawni ismuhu KaHiNa." [citation needed] This translates as, "There was a prophet of God in India who is dark in color and his name was KaHaN." The constants 'KHN' exist in both the words 'Kahan' and 'Kanhaya' a common name for Krishna. Based on these similarities it believed that Krishna is being refered to directly in this text.
So I guess my question is, Was Lord Krishna a prophet in Islam, or is this Hadith a weak Hadith?
