If our ethics are consistent, then we'd have to agree that Reagan encouraged criminals just as much by pardoning past criminals.

Fortunately, I never expect consistency when it comes to selective outrage.

Even kids that watch Sesame Street understand the concept that one of these things is not the same as the other.

Well, there's never a Sesame Street kid around when you need one... which is a good thing, since the last time a conservative invoked Sesame Street, it was to pick a fight with Big Bird... and lose.

They had to show good moral character and pay a fine and back taxes. And they toughened the laws against employers who
hired illegals. Joe, on the other hand, has greatly reduced the border security while having his administration lie to the public and pretend the border is secure. By secretly transporting illegals around the county on the taxpayer dime Joe has seen the cartels get rich due to sex trafficking and drugs pouring into our country. He has let criminals come into this country and who knows how many terrorists from how many countries.

As I recall, the estimate was 3 million illegals got amnesty under Reagan.

Yes, and he was criticized for doing that, but he was promised--and he believed, apparently--that this was a settlement of the illegal immigration issue.

As we all know, it wasn't. Reagan was bitterly sorry then that he'd believed the Congressional Democrats who, not surprisingly, resumed their opposition to normal, sane, immigration procedures of the kind that almost every other nation in the world takes for granted.
