Paralegal by education, glorified secretary by employment.
I also work for the election commission, so I work the polls during elections.
Freelance dog-sitter. Only one regular customer, but she pays well.
Convert to Catholicism. Raised non Denominational.
Homebrewer. Just finished a batch of Belgian Ale.
Not much more to tell.
Lol actually it is about the CF polls. I just haven't updated it to "refereeing polls"
This has your status making more sense. I thought you meant you make a lot of polls on CF or something at first
LOL My face would have turned beet read too if anyone recorded me and played it back! I like that you make up harmonies to songs. That is so awesome! God gave us such a wonderful variety to listen to. Don't you just love it?I love to sing in the car, too, especially on long trips--keeps me alert.
My favorite songs are the ones I can make up harmonies to--and fast, upbeat songs for driving.
My daughter and her friend once recorded me singing in the car on cell phone--when they suddenly started playback boy was my face red!
I have perfect pitch but always consider myself more of a "choir" singer...
I love to look at the stars and planets through a telescope at my pastor's house. Tonight I was looking up at the sky and saw the bright round moon and remembered this weekend there is to be a total lunar eclipse. Anyone think they will see it? I hope to and if not I am going to watch the live stream on Nasa's website
As for who I am... Well that's a rather dull story, but sure
My name's Mike and I'm a 26-year-old Business Management student.
Compared to most of you guys I am very young in my walk with Christ. I spent most of my life as a militant Atheist(more an anti-theist) with polar opposite views to what I have now.
I am still adjusting to my new life as a Christian and I really love that I feel I can be critical of myself and address areas of my life or my self in order to glorify Him and in order to be a better ambassador for Christ through my actions in faith as opposed to just my profession of faith.
That aside, I'm a pretty boring dude. I like to read history(WW2, Ancient China(especially agriculture), Ancient Rome), economics and politics. I enjoy spending time outdoors in the woods with my backpack, an axe and a knife and just forgetting about things. I have a mild obsession with fountain pens and ink(There's just sooooooo many!) and I seem to be collecting finely-bound Bibles.
Now that's over with, you can wake up now
It was a good time. I have learnt not to throw myself into a pool of icy water! And wear longer pants because I scratched my knees in the mud pits
No more challenges this year. Back in the game and concentrating on uni
Hi, I'm Mark, and most of you guys know me.
Born a Confessional Lutheran, and growing in that faith ever since.
I grew up on a farm; worked part time in high school in a fabrication shop building farm equipment. Went to college for Funeral Service, was interned, licensed (still am). My wife of 32 years and I operated a funeral home for a time. During that time our daughter was born and she will be turning 30 this year.
Currently I am the Sr. Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) Specialist at a JIT Automotive parts manufacturing plant. I do a lot of modification, redesign, re-engineering of equipment, processes, procedures etc. They treat me very well there, and are presently paying for night school, so I can earn certification as a Manufacturing Engineer.
I have been here at CF since 2008 I think, and most of that time has been on staff in one capacity or another.
I hold OBOB very close to my heart, and at times tend to be even a bit over protective because we share so much historically, liturgically, traditionally, and in this day and age, we stand on the same ground morally and ethically regarding the many issues in society that are challenging Christianity.
God bless you all!
Mark
