"Leftist"

That sounds a little too strident a label for the 50+ % of American voters who voted against Trump in the last couple elections, and probably this one too.

But maybe this is about some extreme left faction off in the margins?
Except, 50% of American voters didn't vote against Trump in this election. He won the popular vote by about 3 million.

It's a free

It's a free country.
It's a free country.
What makes her a hypocrite? Which of her own beliefs has she argued against?

About as much as her opinion does.
Sure, she can call the shots on what can be discussed if she had her way. No manipulation there and that must be a sound basis for an exchange of ideas to most here. She can think this and get paid for it; I said nothing against her on this. I just think she is a hypocrite and alleged freedom loving types think I am tyrant for expressing an opinion. Got it, have a nice day.

It seems to be someone supporting the idea that gay people deserve the same rights as straight folks. Perhaps to some points of view that's extreme left?
Off topic.

Ah yes, the left says you can express your opinion if and only if you agree with me and endorse all sorts of policies that go against your Christian faith.

Far right talking points are doing their best with what they have. And at this point, it seems that's ignoring the realities of their candidate in favor of creative writing exercises.
Far right? That's not how that works.

Biden/Harris didn't work for America, so the people decided they wanted Trump instead.

When we roll back the tape, it turns out it was you who made a thread expressing your opinion about 'totalitarian leftists,' i.e. someone expressing their opinion.

We're just saying your opinion is obvious nonsense, not that you're a tyrant.

Which 'the left' has been saying this? Any particular people?

Trump margin over Harris was like just 2%.

So basically half the country is still "left"

Yup. Many, many leftist who hate Christians and Christianity. Except, I might get in trouble if I name names (public officials).

Come on, Jill Stein + Harris beat Trump this time round. Those are the left side of the voting population.

Even omitting the Green Party, the Trump margin over Harris was like just 2%.

So basically half the country is still "left"
Why did he win if he got beat? What are you talking about?

Regardless, he was duly elected because many Americans are tired of the woke nonsense. In my humble opinion.

Ha. Forget about Stein. I erred.

This part still holds:

I don't believe that either. If you can quote some public official saying "you can express your opinion if and only if you agree with me and endorse all sorts of policies that go against your Christian faith," that's just a statement of fact.

Ok.

To be honest, I really don't care.

I can think for myself without leftist policies interfering with my life.

Oh really? Look at all the attacks on Churches with arson, people being forced to close because they refuse to bow down to SS"M". Christians speaking out against WOKE NONSNE and being cancelled because they're intolerant blah blah blah

You can have your opinion, and that's fine.

Have a nice evening

The point was calling appx half the country "leftists" sounds a little off. It has an extremist kind of vibe, But most of them aren't extreme at all.

Thing is I am speaking mostly within a secular situation. My filter is conservative and secular thought can be conservative or liberal. I am just a right wing conservative but so was Ayn Rand; I am Christian, she was an atheist who had a negative view of Christianity ( she supported freedom of expression regardless).

I actually remember in recent history that there were expansive left liberals like the late Christopher Hitchens. Interestingly, Hitchens started tilting to the right but personally I don’t think for the best reasons. He supported the US interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan & the 2004 reelection of Bush for US president ( personally, I voted 3rd party). Still, people like him were open to discussion.

I sincerely hope Hitchens repented before he died and escaped damnation. I was very sad to hear he passed in so much pain. He was incredibly intelligent and well read.
