JPPT1974's Mon Thoughts 4/14/2025:
God's support will help us and
Leaning on Him for to guide
Us due to now dad having to
Rely upon us and in knowing the
One good thing is that he has is
Us as family and God through
Jesus and that he relies very heavily on his
Faith and plus Jesus will help all of us
Quite frankly it is about putting Him front and
Center of our hearts to guide him and to
Allow him to sustain as his mind is still like
Very alive if you know what I mean.

JPPT1974's Tues Thoughts 4/15/2025:
We may look great on the
Outside that is but like
My dad over in having Parkinson's
And a wheelchair from a cane as
Really at least he is no longer falling
Like when he had a cane which sadly was
Very frequent but with a wheelchair those falls
Decreased very much big time.
On the inside we are or may have so much
Like my mom also has lupus and migraines!

JPPT1974's Wed Thoughts 4/16/2025:
He had canes as we have now
Nearly dozens of them
Second he had on that
Over in a walker but now
He is in a wheelchair where
Both mom and I had to
Push the wheelchair as hard
As it is since he is a man!

JPPT1974's Thurs Thoughts 4/17/2025:
We are hoping to
Get that electric wheelchair
Due over in how that
He and neither my mom and
I don't like to push the wheelchair
Due to dad being a man and
Both of us being tiny women
Go figure my friends!

Easter Weekend 2025:
Life is all about in
Dealing with hard things and
Times in stride and
Knowing that life is all
About in the making of the
Challenges and how God will
Be front and center of it all
In our hearts and souls.

Life is all about
Making and meeting on the
Challenges and in the knowing
It will be very hard and that
Knowing it will not be a
Piece of cake it will be
About in the taking things
One at a time and could be
In the taking awhile on it.

Just our lives have
Changed and this is going to
Be the new normal as
There is sadly no cure
For the time being over in
Parkinson's among in the every terminal
Diseases as we can only hope
God can make those from impossible
To the possible as He does do so.

JPPT1974's Mon Thoughts 4/21/2025:
My dad is learning to
Live as hard as it is
But he keeps positive and
Doing the best to really be positive
Really an overlooked however it is
Yet a positive mind and sign to face it
Over with stride despite no longer walking.

JPPT1974's Tues Thoughts 4/22/2025:
Our dad has in really
Doing so much and being
The breadwinner over in the
Family and in the support
Knowing that we need to return the
Favor and knowing now in the
Returning the favor in watching our
Parents age like our dad with Parkinson's
As well as even my mom's with Lupus!

JPPT1974's Wed Thoughts 4/23/2025:
To say that it is causing my family
Stress mainly since we live with
Our dad, mom as the official
Caregiver and me as the unofficial caregiver
Really to say it is stress that would be an
Understatement as he sleeps all the time
He used to nap but with his condition
On it as he is sleeping much more.

JPPT1974's Thurs Thoughts 4/24/2025:
Still we need to really
Depend on God and knowing
He is the Great Healer and in
Great Physician and knowing that
It is how we may need to
Really depend on Him as if you think
What we are facing is tough again another
Understatement in how he is going to need
All of our love and care.

JPPT1974's Weekend Thoughts 4/25-4/27/2025:
He gets very tired and
Can't at all in the walking
But now we are having to
Deal with in taking really good care
Of him and knowing that God
Knows we are going to have to
Do much more work knowing our dad
Will have to get much more help not just
Physically, mentally, emotionally, and
Yes even in spiritually with Christ helping
All of us while dealing in how to take care of him.

It's not at all very
Easy to see him
Dwindle and that we
Are hoping to seek out
Some really awesome caregiving
Plus that we are doing our
Best as hard as it is
To help out dad now as he's in a
Wheelchair as he really at least
Is doing his best and we know that.

In knowing that he
Does get help from his
Family and loved ones
But that now need in
Caregiving to give him a
Shower that he can sit down
But also that he needs help and
It is hard for him to ask for help.
Yes he is beyond stubborn.

JPPT1974's Mon Thoughts 4/28/2025:
Understanding this will be our
New normal and beyond and
Facing it as we are not alone
Jesus knew this would happen
Nothing at all catches Him off
Guard but it is how we
Deal with it and knowing our
Father will be needing all the help he can get.

JPPT1974's Tues Thoughts 4/29/2025:
He has to have special
Utensils now to eat in his
Condition and also that we
Are awaiting on the electric
Wheelchair ordered by the VA
As he used to serve the
US Air Force for nearly a decade
With Agent Orange sadly playing a
Key role over in his diagnosis.

We need to rely upon
Our faith much more
Knowing that it is indeed our
New normal and how we
Are glad we moved out of the
House we had for thirty
Years and into a single downsizing house
One level as this could had been such a
Huge blessing in disguise to help our father.

Are glad we moved out of the
House we had for thirty
Years and into a single downsizing house
One level as this could had been such a
Huge blessing in disguise to help our father.

I was paging thru an old hymn book & it was something like 'if the house isn't founded on the Lord it will crash". Your post makes me think of that.
