At the wedding in Cana, they ran out of wine. Mary wanted Jesus to do something about it to save the day. KJV, J 2:

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
That sounded abrupt, dismissive, and not so respectful. Was Jesus annoyed by Mary?

I don't think so.

Nestle Greek New Testament:

4b Τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί, γύναι
Berean Literal Bible:

Jesus says to her, "What to Me and to you, woman? My hour is not yet come."
Berean Standard Bible captured the Gree well:

Woman, what is that to you and to Me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”
Jesus did not Mary’s request outright with the question. He reminded her that his ministry operated on God’s timing.

He was patient and gracious. He went on to perform a quiet miracle to turn water into wine so the party could continue the celebration.

In this case, the KJV didn't translate the Greek properly, which made Jesus sound a bit irritated by his mother.

Ask me a specific question :)
Well, didn't the wedding take place prior to His baptism by John?
Why did he even question his mother's request?
The text at the wedding seems somehow out of place.
I'd appreciate your thoughts very much.
