I 'all' am not fixating on the pet thing.
It is you that is.

But the pet thing proved to be a very good thing for Springfield.
Because of the national attention, Springfield got help.
And they needed it badly.

I live in Ohio. I follow the state news, The Governor's actions.
The people of Springfield got help, because of what Trump said in the debate.
I have absolutely no problem with those people getting help.
They needed it.

For the record, there are people in Springfield that reported their pets were eaten.

It does have citations. But a group of people can control the content, what is featured and what is omitted. As an experienced researcher I have seen this can make all the difference.
