I was wandering if anybody could tell me how IUI is done and about how much it costs from start till a positive preg test?

Hi!! I went through multiple IUIs so maybe I can help. The IUI is basically when a doctor helps nature along. The man gives his sample and it is washed and treated then it is injected into the woman dirctly into the uterus. Its not painful at all and two weeks later if your period hasn't started you test. They may or may not put you on pills, shots or both if they feel they need to be aggressive. With insurance our co-pay was around $350 each time. Without it ours was about $2,000 each time. It will vary from doctor to doctor. Hope that helps a bit.
