yeah. of course. i mean like a chosen one who will save us

You mean like a modern day Moses? Don't look for one of them. There are all kinds of people making claims to something or other, but most of us just sit back and watch them fade away. Jesus gave us the Apostle as an example of what to look for. Those who show forth God's love and kindness sharing the gospel in truth. Seeing the hope and mercy they carry in their own lives to encourage others in their walk with Jesus, while pointing everyone's eyes to Christ who saved us all.
If you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, you are already saved. We just keep our love and our eyes on Him to take us safely home, seeking and trusting the Lord in everything in our lives.
Watch out for the hardcore, those who try to bind and bring into oppression. There out there!

God bless you little sister

Well spoken keepinitsimple. There will not be anyone to save those who belong to Christ, because they are saved. But I believe there is a chosen walking the earth who will save the heathen and turn them to Christ, or else he will fail to turn to Christ himself and will damn his people who wait for him. Can't back it up though..

The only difference between called and chosen is surrendering yourself and following Christ. That's pretty much it!
The gospel the Lord has shown me could basically be summed up in two words Jesus spoke when He called His disciples. "Follow me" From that point on they saw only the Lord and what He taught them. What does He tell us?
That He would send us a Comforter, even the Spirit of Truth, and He will guide us into all truth. We are all the chosen ones who follow after the Spirit.
I don't let anyone or anything stand between me and the Lord, Christ's church is not divided as some teach, we are in unity in His love one with another. I don't stand in denominations, I am completely non-denominational standing where Jesus spoke: You will know they are my disciples by the love they have for one another.. I give God all the glory for what He has done.. My eyes are on Him (Jesus)

The church is what God uses to call His children.. All of us

But it is true that not every person is a child of god, for they reject the church and its ways and say it is broken and decrepit and reject Christ aswell. But it is Christ's desire to save all people, so there is someone out there somewhere who will reveal what the church already knows to those who fight against it. Its not changing anything we know that was said to us in scripture if there was a chosen man to reveal the Son who revealed the Father to those who refuse to hear the word. Its just a hope of mine though.. Cause I am not sure I am saved, so if Christ's people could pray for this chosen to convert those who refuse him I would feel more comfortable than people waiting for the last days where their enemies are killed.. That's just not cool to me.. You get what I mean? Why can't we just pray for conversion instead? Is God not capable? Could He not pull another Jonah scenario if He desired?

Jesus IS the final peace. But there is someone out there who will save the people who defy God's will, for no one is beyond redemption. I don't think we'll ever know him, but I believe he's out there to convert those who deny Christ through means by which no man could imagine. At least I pray this is true, because no one is beyond redemption, even those who claim to be true against Christians.

Yes, the Lord did speak of the wheat and the tares, yet spoke, let them grow together. As far as the church, the church is the people not the buildings and if they want to say I am broken, I would agree with them. That's why I need the Lord

Not a bad thing to hope for, though I guess the two witnesses in Revelations might be what your leaning to. The only ones I've seen mentioned.

I wish I could answer your question, I truly do. The lord calls those who want His help, He guides those who see's the need for His guidance, but not everyone seeks His help, nor His guidance and He will not force His will on us.
The first line you wrote: "
Cause I am not sure I am saved" I'm not sure you meant it in that way,but if you did I would only ask that you look in your heart, see His love there and the hope He has given you. Trust in His love and hope that He has placed there. Always see the Lord in that hope, for that's a special gift to us from the Lord..
Now abideth Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is love.
The Lord had shown me a long time ago that Love is a building block to hope and hope is a building block to faith.

God bless

My heart says yes I am loved and its wonderful. I used to pray for the Last Days, then I saw signs of it coming and it is NOTHING like Christ would do! I thought it would be great to have evil destroyed and the chosen elect delivered into their promised land. NOOOO! It was HORRIBLE and NOT GOOD! EVERYONE can receive the free gift, but ONLY the chosen survived! I can't begin to express how horrible it was! The chosen I am talking about is NOT the 2 witnesses, because there is hope that after the mysteries of God are revealed (according to revelations this comes first) there will be no need for the Last Days. I know (though I can't back it up) that there is ONE man out there who has been charged with an IMPOSSIBLE task, though I'm not sure what it is or who. God does though, and everyone should be praying for this man to succeed so that the 2 witnesses are never even needed! PLEASE pray for this chosen man to succeed! He is deaf and his task requires hearing! If we pray for justice, he will stay deaf and won't be able to perform and the Last days will come to destroy. But if even just a few people prayed for this man to no longer be deaf, he will hear again and be able to perform this otherwise impossible task and we won't even have to enter the Great and Terrible day! Have faith that this is true and pray! Otherwise keep praying for justice which leads to death.

If we put our trust in one man, then we don't live out the Christian life as it was designed to be lived.

Jesus gave His disciples spiritual authority in very little time after discipleship training. He raised people up so they could raise others up-- as others said above, we are all called to lead, and all called to lean on God for our deliverance and salvation.

When asked who would sit at Jesus' right hand (a favored spot in dinners), Jesus discouraged hierarchical relationship with Him.
Matthew 20

When the Israelites asked for a king, God resisted. God knows that people like strong leaders, but they also neglect responsibility and ownership of their territories when they sit back and let someone else rule them. They give up their own rights when they expect someone else to be heroic and strong.

What can one man do? We all know how many hours we have in a day, and how this limits us. Presidents rely on cabinets, advisors, stylists, partisan support and more... one human becomes a figurehead who can't possibly find the time to properly research everything they represent.

Similarly, the evangelists with television programs, schools founded, travel schedules, and books can't humanly do everything they appear to be doing. They rely on teams of great hard-working people who do the research, ghost writing, correspondence, conference bookings, HR, and prayer support.

Even newscasters do that now-- they speak out what others have researched. Some don't even dress themselves, wearing clothes from designers trying to promote products.

We have human limits, and realizing that is bittersweet-- allowing beauty in our simplicity, and appreciating His power flowing through our frail lives.

None of us were meant to be superheroes. God is our source.

Its a man because that man won't be breaking the doctrine which states that women should not be given authority over men. If it were a woman, it would mean that God changed, but He is unchanging. That man is going to be there for the people who CAN'T trust Jesus and give them a reason to, that's it. He's not a savior or anything, Jesus Christ is and that WONT CHANGE. Its to help the people who DO trust, by giving those who mock us a REASON to trust that THEY need, not you who trust Jesus Christ already.

this is what someone else posted on another forum:
The Chosen One is a female. She is here on earth already. God chose her for her goodness and her creative heart, for always seeing the good in others. God is the Chosen One and God is this woman.....in human form...when he reveals her to the world, so many will be in disbelief because of her gender, but she will be Jesus in Spirit..the Spirit of Truth. She knows what God knows about goodness and will teach...however, she will only take home those who have had faith in her and who she is. God wants the Chosen One on earth so that she can bring his children home and teach faith through healing. You will know her in your time which is God's time. Watch and be aware...the signs are all around you. Open your hearts for your hearts will know who she is if you have ultimate faith. People will not believe in who she is because they are expecting a man. But her spirit is that of Jesus.

what do you think they mean?

holotype said:
They mean to deceive you.
Mt 24:24
For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

but she will be Jesus in Spirit.
This should be a red flag.

There is no need for a powerful person to come to earth to convince people of things. We already have God's Holy Spirit dwelling in our hearts -- what more precious a gift can we ask for!

Spot on Heron!

Methinks too many people have been playing with Nostradamus!!!!

Flish- I'd be very cautious about telling people that there is one man here to convert people and to pray for him so that the two witnesses in the Bible won't be needed.

Hon, would you make a liar of God????

The two witnesses are there in the Bible- black and white. They are foretold by God just as clearly as the coming of the anti-Christ and the tribulations and so on.

It's part of scripture that we have been warned not to alter or add to or remove from- and you're advocating praying for someone who is not spoken of in Scripture and whose existence you admit you can't back up... so that God will change His mind about events very clearly laid out in the Bible.

Be very careful where you're going with this thought, hon.

There are other religions represented on this forum, so it might not have even been a Christian. I am not opposed to God doing things through women, as God did many things in scriptures through women. But the concept of "Chosen One" will lead to many people imagining they are the One.
