I thought the during the tribulation followers of Christ would not be here. I thought we would be raptured at the beginning of the 7 years.

Not to be mean, but you thought wrong. But no the solar eclipse in 2017 was not the start of any kind of tribulationI thought we would be raptured at the beginning of the 7 years.

Very interesting. Thanks for that post.I find it interesting when one looks at the paths of the two eclipses, it's a big X on the United States
here's a link that has a map of the eclipses
2024 Total Solar Eclipse Will Be Better than 2017 Version
Well lets see Christians have been going on an on about the end of the world for hundreds of years, Christ says no one but the father will know when it ends so give it a rest. One of the very first signs of the end is the rapture...trust me when that happens people will notice so until it happens give it a rest
When Christ returns and the dead are raised, the story's over. When it comes to the end, Jesus is actually very clear: There won't be any signs. Jesus tells us that it will be as in the days of Noah, people will be getting married, two will be working in a field, two will be working the mill, people will be going about their usual business when, without warning, the Lord comes. That's precisely why no one knows the day or hour, it's why the Lord says He will return at a time we will not and cannot know.
As C.S. Lewis wisely put it, when the author comes on stage and gives a bow, the play is over. When the Lord returns in glory as judge of the living and the dead, that's it. That's the end.

There are a few things that will be happening when the end comes and the rapture is one of the first so do not worry about is all I am saying. It is like learning a asteroid the size of Texas is coming right at us, no amount of crying or whining will change the fact that if that a happens there is no were to hide, so don't worry about it.
To each there ownAs I don't subscribe to the doctrine of "the rapture", as I'm not a Dispensationalist, I can't agree with you in regard to the rapture being a sign of the end. As I believe that when Jesus returns and the dead are raised, that is the end. After Jesus returns God makes all things new, new heavens and new earth.
