Is Lady Gaga's song "Judas" evil?

He'd probably be okay with it. I think that Jesus felt sorry for Judas, because Judas was predestined to betray him. We can argue all day and night if Judas had a choice, but either way, Judas had to betray Jesus. And, Jesus, being guided by his father, put Judas in charge of their money, because that was Judas' weakness.

Who knows if Judas would've betrayed Jesus if he wasn't put in charge of their money? But, he was, and it was because of Judas' inclination for having more money that Satan was able to make Judas betray Jesus.

But, going back to Lady Gaga's song, I think that Judas is supposed to be a metaphor for something else and not literally Judas Iscariot. Also, consider that there are much worse songs that you could have on your iPod. So, I doubt that God finds this song offensive, at all.

She does mention that her Father, America and Jesus are the most important men in her life, I forget what song that is though, any help?

Lol. I don't see how that would. Anyways, I kind of like the song because I feel sorry for Judas, even though the song isn't really about him.

There's several references that the song is referring to Judas in the bible...
I read the lyrics.

Quoting a line from the song--
"Jesus is my virtue and Judas is the demon I cling to. I cling to."

Not a song I would want on my MP3 or IPOD... however, I would have
"They're Coming To Take Me Away" on it.

Which I see as a metaphor for her struggling with her inner demons, but striving to be virtuous like Christ. Perhaps you've never seen an interview with her? She actually exhibits a lot of virtuous qualities, like love, compassion, non-judgment, forgiveness. She acts more like Christ than most Christians I've interacted with.

And it's just a song. It's called creative expression. Christians these days seem to think this metaphoric being called "Satan" is hiding around every corner. I find it rather bizarre personally.

I well aware of creative expression... I don't care for the songs lyrics.
I am also aware Lady Gaga espouses many things...pretty much like
Mr. Jackson did when he was alive.

Yes, it's a song...one of many I don't care for...we all have personal
likes and dislikes...I've expressed mine from time to time.
I'm also well aware people won't agree
with me...it's not required.

I can't help myself. I really love this song but I feel like it's a message from Satan. How would Jesus feel about having a song named after the man who betrayed him?

Is it a sin to have such a song on my iPod? Should I delete it?

Help me fellow Christians :groupray:

I read the lyrics and it seems like she's wrestling with herself. Sinful song? uh, no. Tasteless pop? totally(IMO of course)

Garbage in...garbage out.
You are shaped by what you feed on in the natural and in the spiritual realm.

Lady Goo Goo ^_^ acts like a naughty little feral child gone wild
on stage who uses shock and raw to mesmerize children and teach
them an ungodly message of perversion, debauchery and lies, all for fame and money.

She leads people to herself and to her own despair, torment
and sexual sins and leds people away from the truth and Christ.

Who do you think shapes her life?

Does she serve Christ or the devil?

There is no in between and to think that listening to lyrics with
messages that point toward evil as good (Judas is the demon I cling to),
is the devils work.

I do not hate Lady Goo Goo but I hate that she is trading in the souls
of children for fame and money and unless she finds Christ, she is
lost and leading many down the wrong path.

The world villifies Christians and extolls a Lady Goo Goo.
The world tells us good is evil and evil is good.
The world is on a path to hell and away from Christ.
The world and its corrupted kingdoms will fall.

Why anyone would support someone who leads children into a
Godless life of sexual debauchery and excess, I cannot fathom.

Writhing around naked on stage and sending her message
of sexual debauchery to children typifies all that is wrong
in this world and proves that we are living in the last days
as Christ told us.

Luke 17:26
And as it was in the days of Noah,
so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:

Genesis 6:5
Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Lady Gaga...Lady Gaga...I have a love/hate thing going on with that artist...

Anyways, I think Judas is used as a metaphor for sin, in the song, and that when sin is represented, she "is ready for it" as in, she's gonna do it because the sin (or to use the song lyrics, "she's in love with Judas") is addictive or very promising, even though she knows it's wrong. And she wants a relationship with Christ ("Jesus is my virtue"), but her sin is getting in the way ("Judas is the demon I cling to") for whatever reason.

I think it's how people interpret the song...I don't find it evil, just annoying. The video, I barely made it through, I found it really...disgusting.

I know Christians who listen to her music and like her. Not my thing, but whatever. I guess, according to some people on this board, they're going to hell because they like Lady Gaga. Of course, I'm told apparently I'M not a Christian for God knows whatever reasons, so around here, almost no one is a Christian. What a joke.

Sigh...I really don't know why I try anymore. Honestly. Why is everyone so quick to jump to, "This is evil, that is evil, that's a sinful behavior," blah blah blah.

I am NOT a fan of Lady Gaga. Her music has zero complexity, and is little more than cookie-cutter "VI iv I V" (major points to anyone who recognizes that chord progression) songs, like most pop nowadays.

THAT DOES NOT MEAN SHE IS "TRADING IN THE SOULS OF CHILDREN FOR FAME AND MONEY." Seriously, Pal Handy, I normal love to read your posts. They're normally very encouraging and very rational. But this...really? Do you honestly believe that?

And...LADY GAGA DID NOT HAVE CREATIVE CONTROL OVER THAT MUSIC VIDEO. IT WAS NOT HER IDEA. Music videos are dreamt up by the directors within the music industry based on THEIR TAKE on the song. I.E., you get a shallow-minded ratings harlot to produce the video, and OF COURSE you get a product like that. How else would someone interpret those lyrics if they're not willing to look any deeper?

Sigh...And I really don't find her actions onstage that debaucherous, to be honest. Far from end-times debaucherous, anyway.
