Is it wrong to pray for healing for an animal?

I will pray for an animal without a doubt, I love my dog.

My grandmother has told me of stories of her dad requesting prayer for there mule when he was sick. Her father was a farmer, if the mule was sick, he could not pull the plow, planting could not go on as needed. The thing that makes me smile is others in the church did the same for there mules, oxen, and such. :)

My grandmother has even prayed for her car to keep running, and God has kept it going when is no way to explain how the car was still going.

Very encouraging story Kadams7701.....I will definitely keep this in mind for both our pets as well as for my car!!!!

There is nothing wrong with praying for an animal of course. God is such a mighty God, we must not limit him. God loves His animals, He created them! Look at God's concern for His animals in Jonah 4:11 And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”

Even Jesus spoke of animals Mat 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Mat 12:11 He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?

and Psalm 36:6 "O Lord, You preserve man and beast.
Proverbs 12:10 "The righteous care for the needs of their animals,"

I hope these verses are assurance enough for you to have faith and pray over your animals as well!
My Father healed my dogs, through prayer and faith, so don't be ashamed!

No. It isn't wrong at all.
God cares about the things that matter to us, even the 'little' things.
This.

By the way, you can talk to God about anything, and ask for anything (preferably with a humble, thankful, and reverent heart). If it is important to you, keep asking, seeking, and knocking.
