It's not the amount of hours spent in prayer but the quality of the hours spent.
Prayer is private time between God and each one of us. Spent in conversation and listening. I wouldnt' even answer anyone who asked "How much time do you spend in prayer a day?" It's no ones business but each individuals and God's. It's their own personal relationship.
If we get started looking at the amount of prayers we prayer or verses we read ...that's religion...and God hates religion...He wants hearts that long to spend time with Him for who He is and not what He does. 1 hour a week or 30 chapters a week....stinks to God...because it's religiousity which says...I have to earn Gods' presence or His grace....those are gifts bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus...there's no other way to get in Gods' presence than through the blood of the Lamb on the Mercy Seat.
Amen but I think this thread was more about forgetting to pray for someone after promising to do so, I send up a quick prayer right away, but sometimes I forget to continue supporting someone in prayer but I ask the Lord to help me on that one and when I pray in tongues I ask the Spirit to help me intercede for those I have forgotten to name.
