Although undocumented immigrants are not "refugees," a pretty good case could be made that they came to America fleeing desperate poverty and violence, and that they have much in common with those who were granted refugee status (including the Haitians resettled in Ohio, who did not eat the dogs).

For example, how many gays have to be strapped to chairs and thrown from buildings before liberals realize that extremist Islam isn't anyone's best friend and isn't something we should import here? How many women have to be jailed for being raped? Raped for not having a male escort?

I hear and read about crime but it is somewhere else and not in my particular world.
However, I talked to a 75 year old woman, an old friend, who has always been very anti-gun.
She lives in a upper middle class neighborhood in California, peaceful residential.
Now she bought a gun! And is going to the gun range, learning to use it.
I asked her why? She said there are many strange people wandering around. There have been daylight assaults, robberies, car jackings, break-ins and homeless drug camps in her area.
I never heard that part of California was a problem area.
These are strange times when a middle class senior retiree is buying guns and learning to use them.
My neighborhood is still fairly peaceful. But then, I would have expected her neighborhood to remain the same.

See, this is the ridiculous part. Again, not a real thing. Are there people who are liberal and hate "western" society? Sure. But the existence of individuals who fit a certain mold does not suggest, imply, or otherwise signify the intent of the larger group that they belong to. Much like I would never claim that conservatives are trying to destroy western society, in spite of the fact that there are plenty of conservatives who hate it. "Destroying western society" is not a core tenet of liberalism or conservatism.

We have let in, due to poor vetting, some 100+ individuals on the terrorist watch list in the last couple years. We have also waived in more than 13,000 murderers and 10's of thousands of foreign criminals.

Just because we have problems with some few of our own citizens doesn't mean we should take on the murderers and terrorists of the world and cross our fingers and hope they don't kill us, whom they have zero respect for and a ton of hate towards.
