μένω (meno): abide, continue, endure, persevere, remain, stay exactly right where you already are

Whenever the Bible uses μένω in reference to being "in Christ", it can NEVER be spoken to or about a non-Christian or a false convert; because it is, by definition; referring to someone who is already, truly, & totally "IN Christ".
Here are some examples of the NT use of the Greek word μένω & some of the verses it connects to disprove ES/OSAS, & some other verses that concur as cross-references to them:

1 JOHN 2:24
Let that therefore ABIDE...
(μενέτω - present imperative active - 3rd person singular of μένω)
...in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall REMAIN...
(μείνῃ - aorist subjunctive active - 3rd prsn. snglr. of μένω)
...in you, ye also shall CONTINUE...
(μενεῖτε - future indicative active - 2nd person plural of μένω)
...in the Son, & in the Father.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:
¹ Moreover, brethren; I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, & wherein ye stand;
² by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

2 COR. 6:1
We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

HEBREWS 12:15
Oversee diligently lest anyone fall away from the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, & thereby many be defiled.

JOHN 15:6
If a man ABIDE...
(μένῃ - present subjunctive active - 3rd p. s. of μένω)
...not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, & is withered; & men gather them & cast them into the fire, & they are burned.

ROMANS 11:
²⁰ Rightly so, by unbelief they were broken off. But thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear.
²¹ For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest He also spare not thee.
²² Behold therefore the goodness & severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou CONTINUE...
(ἐπιμένῃς - present subjunctive active - 2nd p. s. of μένω w/ ἐπί prefix)
...in His goodness. Otherwise, thou also shalt be cut off.

COLOSSIANS 1:
²¹ And you that were sometime alienated & enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled
²² in the body of His flesh through death; to present you holy & unblameable & unreproveable in His sight,
²³ if ye CONTINUE...
(ἐπιμένετε - present indicative active - 2nd prsn. plrl. of μένω w/ ἐπί prefix)
...in the faith grounded & settled, & be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel; which ye have heard, & which was preached in all creation under heaven...

JOHN 14:21 & 23
²¹ He that hath My commandments, & keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me. And he that loveth Me, shall be loved by My Father. And I will love him, & will manifest Myself to him.

²³ ...If a man love Me, he will keep My words & my Father will love him. And We will come unto him & make Our abode with him.

JUDE 21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ until eternal life.

JOHN 15:
⁹ As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you. CONTINUE...
(μείνατε - aorist imperative active - 2nd p. pl. of μένω)
...ye in My love.
¹⁰ If ye keep My commandments, ye shall ABIDE...
(μενεῖτε - future indicative active - 2nd p. pl. of μένω)
...in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments & abide in His love.

ACTS 13:43
Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews & of the devout proselytes followed Paul & Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to CONTINUE...
(προσμένειν - present infinitive active of μένω w/ προσ prefix)
...in the grace of God.

ACTS 14:22
Confirming the souls of the disciples, & exhorting them to CONTINUE...
(ἐμμένειν - present infinitive active of μένω)
...in the faith, & that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

ACTS 11:23
When he arrived & saw the grace of God, he rejoiced & exhorted them all that with purpose of heart they must CONTINUE...
(προσμένειν - present infinitive active of μένω w/ προσ prefix)
...in the Lord.

MAT. 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake. But he that ENDURETH...
(ὑπομείνας - aorist participle active - nominative masculine singular of μένω w/ ὑπο prefix)
...until the end shall be saved.

MARK 13:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake. But he that shall ENDURE...
(ὑπομείνας - aorist participle active - nominative masculine singular of μένω w/ ὑπο prefix)
...until the end, the same shall be saved.

LUKE 21:17 & 19
¹⁷ And ye shall be hated of all men for My Name's sake.

¹⁹ In your PATIENCE/endurance...
(ὑπομονῇ - noun - dative feminine singular of μένω w/ ὑπο prefix)
...possess/save ye your souls.

ROM. 2:
⁶ (God)...shall render to each according to his works:
⁷ to those who with PATIENCE...
(ὑπομονὴν - noun - accusative feminine singular of μένω w/ ὑπο prefix)
...in good work seek for glory, honor, & incorruptibility: eternal life;
⁸ but to those who are contentious & disobedient to the truth because they are persuaded to unrighteousness: wrath & indignation.

HEB. 10:
³⁵ Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
³⁶ For ye have need of PATIENCE,...
(ὑπομονῆς - noun - genitive feminine singular of μένω w/ ὑπο prefix)
...so that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
³⁷ For yet a little while & He that will appear, shall arrive, & will not tarry.
³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith. But if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him.
³⁹ But we are not of those drawing back into destruction, but of those believing until the saving of the soul.

HEB. 3:6, 12-14
⁶ But Christ as a Son over His own house; Whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence & the rejoicing of the hope firm until the end.

¹² Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
¹³ But exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today"; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast until the end.

MAT. 24:13
But he that shall ENDURE...
(ὑπομείνας - aorist participle active - nominative masculine singular of μένω w/ ὑπο prefix)
...until the end, the same shall be saved.

1 TIM. 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, & unto the doctrine; CONTINUE...
(ἐπίμενε - present imperative active - 2nd person singular of μένω w/ ἐπί prefix)
...in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, & them that hear thee.

These Bible verses prove that a soul is not saved instantly & totally by momentary faith, but constantly & finally (after death) through maintained fidelity. Therefore the doctrine of Eternal Security (during this lifetime, in the flesh, & in the world), also known as: "Once Saved Always Saved", is a lie. Only after a soul has followed Jesus Christ all the way to Heaven is it eternally secure & always safe.

While I agree that OSAS is a falsehood according to your definition of it, the security of anyone's salvation does not depend on what they find out in the end, but on what God has determined from the beginning to do, which he is sure to complete. That, irrespective of whether it applies to me personally, is more sure to happen than anything I can suppose or even see.

I don't know where you got the idea of "what they FIND OUT in the end". You need to read my post again. Most, if not all, of the verses I posted prove monergism & Calvinism impossible & heretical.

Yes, they do. May God open your eyes to the truth, & rescue you from Satan's lies of Calvinism & monergism.

Do you really think you can produce purity, holiness, wisdom, knowledge and understanding, steadfast faithfulness and love worthy of God's grace? The very notion implies grace is not, after all, Grace.

May God open your eyes to the truth, and rescue you from Satan's lies of Pelagianism, Arminianism and other such Self-Deterministic worldviews.

Goodness gracious what of the many kinds of "monergist" are you? I thought OP was doing fairly well, posting up some Scriptures I'm inclined to believe in, but that's just me.

The introduction is misleading because it's many incompatible doctrines, as the continuation explains.

Arminius was a calvinist (though Satan hasn't heard of calvin) and died of an illness two-fifths of the way through his work. He seems to have shown that Scripture means that when we buy in, we are assured of the benefits of the deal (because we'll need them) (same as I believed from infancy).

The meaning behind the slogan prevenient grace - which is distinct from saving grace - is the same as the meaning of the slogan total depravity (inability to reach towards God without it).

You sound as if you are condemning faith and are also condemning the fruits of the Spirit and the predictions of Jesus and the OT?

I was taken by the verses and missed your gloss. The real Eternal Security is better than the false one facilely touted.

What they really prove is that when we hold fast in Holy Spirit strength having bought into the deal in the first place with His help, we'll come into the fullest fruits of that.

St Paul helps us grasp the interplay between God's eternal sight and our series of events with (and my pals used to sing this):

For I know Whom I have believ-ed
And am persuad-ed that He is able
To keep that which I've committ-ed
Unto Him, against that day.

This is because Holy Spirit is dual action: inbreathing AND infilling.

The gifts (unvetoed) come through the fruits and the fruits come through the gifts.

Many people live this out well without analysing it but this is what is behind it and some from now on will be grateful that we spelled it out.

In addition to assurance, my pals in my young day had a doctrine of redemption (what to buy into). Shorthand or "fundamentals" became alleged minimums turned into new maxima. Love believes all [the] things.

Why would we think that and why would we not believe the way across the desert between us & Him He Himself makes?

Why would we think that and why would we not believe the way across the desert between us & Him He Himself makes?
The question is, HOW would we believe if we were at enmity with God, and unable to please God (Romans 8)? The way across that desert is what God himself —Christ Jesus— did in our place —on that we appear to be agreed. But we will to not believe it unless God (the Spirit of God) produces valid faith within us. It is not ours to produce, but by it, we believe, and choose to believe and repent and submit.
