Practice Trinitarian spirituality. Don't talk about the trinity, experience it in their presence. ('may they be one as we are' John 17)

How to refute Pentecostals who deny the Trinity doctrine
Implicitly in order for love to happen, it needs an object to receive the love and without an object love cannot happen. God is perfect in all ways and needs nothing so he does not need his creation in order for love to exist. The only way this can be true is if God has an object to receive that love that preexists creation and is a part of his unchanging nature.

Love however needs to be contrasted in order for it to work perfectly. "A" cannot love "A" as it cannot be called perfect because there is no measure to know what is love and what isn't. So A needs to love something that is not A for contrast to happen. In this case we can say A loves B and B loves A creating a 2 way relationship/2-in-1. But even in this, love is not perfect, because there still is no contrast as the relationship is just A-B, there needs to be an outside party so love can perfectly exist, otherwise, it is just a superior and subordinate relationship with no real measure or contrast of what love is. When there are 3 however it can exist with full contrast as there can be independent relationships outside of a superior as well as with the superior. A-B, A-C, and B-C, plus A-B-C which is 4 contrasting relationships. So why not keep going and make 4-in-1 or 1000-in-1? because God exists perfectly. He exists in perfect harmony, 2 is too little, and 4 is unnecessary. it is 3 that has the perfect balance anything else would be less than perfect.

I get the tension, how can 3 equal 1 isn't it a contradiction? We don't have to understand the "how", but this may at least answer the "why" as 3-in-1 is needed in order for love to exist perfectly. With a unitarian God, God does not love because it would mean he needs his creation to love, since he needs nothing love would be a contradiction to his nature.
