odd question but im curious.

Somebody told me earlier that you can wonder at god through his creation. But i see many christians dont appreciate that. How did i come to this conclusion? huge fast cars, large houses etc.

So how do you worship, apart from singing and praying and church? Do you recycle out of respect? do you plant a tree? also i like to know other things, for example how you treat others.

(i dont want a debate which is why i came here not the GA and just responces from christians)

There are many ways to praise and worship God, and, in fact, I don't think that you could fit them all on a single post!

I worship him at home by praying :prayer: , singing to a Christian radio station, etc. Being thankful is another. Whenever we encounter news of His devotion to anyone, I praise and thank God verbally. One of the most important things that is worship is time spent with Him: i.e. read the Bible. I read the Bible every day--preferably for at least an hour a day: I read a Proverb (there are 31 chapters, 31 days in a month...), a Psalm, something from the NT, and sometimes something from the OT. Daily.

We worship in Church by Fellowship :groupray: . Singing songs and dancing and waving our hands:clap: . We show reverance  and agreement :amen: and tell Jesus how much we love him. We also worship him by confessing our sins and turning from them.

In marriage, I have heard some believe making love is worship. But in all things, obedience is a key act of worship. So is faith and dedication.

There are so many ways!! And it never ends--I praise and worship my God all day long, every day.

Praise Jesus! God bless you all!

I praise God in living. Doing what I can for others and thanking him for what we have. Some Christians do get tied up in this world with fast cars and big houses, but if they think that will help them minister perhaps that's what God want them to do. It's different for each person in every situation.

Obedience is one of the best ways to worship Him.
He may want you to dance at one time, stand still, bow down, lay flat on your face, build a home for someone who doesn't have one, bring food to someone, sing, drum, play an instrument, spend time with your friends and acting Christlike, shouting, praying, giving your tithe, taking communion, being intimate with your spouse...
Even if you are doing these things but have not Love it is meaningless.
Just like the sacrifices of the Israelites that became meaningless acts of habbit.

Yep.
I try to live my life in obedience, as worship to God.

One of my favorite praise songs says how I feel about worship:

Every move I make, I make in You
You make me move, Jesus
Every breath I take I breathe in You
Every step I take, I take in You
You are my way, Jesus
Every breath I take, I breathe in You

I praise God in differed ways – by singing, singing in the spirit and singing prophetic songs; by the lifting of my hands while singing or praying and by hand clapping. I dance, jump and shout sometimes too. But most of all I praise God by living a life that is a symphony of praise by doing and obeying His Will

I agree with some of the previous posters. Worship isn't just singing in church or in the car. It's praying, singing, reading the Bible, following the commandments, stopping to say thank you for the blessings you have received, living your life for God, basically just doing everything you can to be the person God has led you to be.

I worship my Creator and Savior by living my life for Him...by being "salt and light" to those around me so to draw others to Him. I worship Him by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, encouraging the depressed...this way I do those things for Him. I worship Him by talking to Him, by laying down my problems at His feet and realizing that I can't do it on my own. I worship Him with my life...I belong to Him.
I also admire His creation around me. I try to be a good steward of what He has given me. I'm kind to His creation...human and animal.
The other day a weatherman came and talked to my class. He showed them some slides of actual snowflakes under a microscope. They were more beautiful than any work of man's art I have ever seen (and I've seen some major art...3 museums in Paris..including the Louvre!). To think that my Lord and God created that! It was awesome...and no two alike! How cool is that! :)

Some people draw a destinction between worship and praise. To me, worship is done with a humble attitude. This might involve prayer and admitting that God is greater than I am. Praise is done with a thankful heart and might involve singing or even shouting. They are both quite different, but I think we need to do both.

ok - interesting replies. You may have asked why do i ask this.

pure curiousity! Ive just seen too much of religious people doing this when they felt like it. They dress smart, get out of their posh cars, go to service, get the spirit within the church (ive not seen one christian who has been overwhelmed by the spirit in the street) then leave and carry on for another couple of days in thier ordinary lives. Then maybe go to a midweek service or house groups.

but ive not seen any go in gangs and adore the splendor of creation. (i do know a couple who are in freinds of the earth too).

So tell me (i dont mean any offense) does anybody like to leave their urban lives behind and worship you creator by walking in the mountains or going for a dive etc?

Absolutely! Although there is nothing urban about me. I live in a very rural area and I see the hand of God in the nature around me everyday and I praise and thank God for it!

Living this life he gave me, spending time with him, trying to get to know something about him, looking at everything and everybody as a gift from him, trying to see him in his creation and in everybody, trying to listen to him and to walk in his footsteps, asking for his will, saying forgive me and thank you, longing for his presence, letting him love me, trying not to prevent him to love others through me...
