1500 miles, or 2414 km.
I was just going to say... Really big ,haha.
I tell folks to Google map Australia.then use the distance measure feature to make lines on it of the length you just gave. Its a great way to get a perspective. All man's largest cities are a dot on a map.. But this cities base alone covers the vastness of central Australia. Then it is probably pyrimadic in style being that it is as high as it is wide as it is long.

63% of the volume of the moon. Jesus went to prepare a room for us, but since most people don't need a room bigger than an ocean liner, I'm guessing there will be a really big atrium. ;)

I couldn't believe that your illustration was to scale, but then I looked up the diameter of the moon. It's only 2159 miles! So the NJ is only several hundred miles (per side) smaller. Wow!

What is inside the city?
Unfortunately, the inside isn't as well described as the outside. Here's what it says:

Rev 22:1-5 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. (2) In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (3) And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. (4) They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. (5) There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Two Jerusalem's: One Earthly in Israel & One Heavenly

Jerusalem from the Hebrew Yerushalayim. Any Hebrew word ending in """im""" is alway's plural

When ever we say the word or read about Jerusalem. We are saying Jerusalem's

Yerushalayim Shel Matta & Shel Maala.

On the Temple Mt in Jerusalem, Priests offer daily sacrifices, prayers and burnt a special mixture of sweet, four fragrant gums and resins.

Ex 30:7-8. A sweet smelling perfume that rose straight up to the

When in captivity God's children were told when praying to face east towards Jerusalem.

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day,

The prayer's traveled to the Temple Mt and then straight upward to the Lord.

Jacob's Ladder shows the Gate leading to the to the 3rd Heaven exists directly above the Temple Mt in Jerusalem. Gen 28:11-13 16-18

One day soon, God will again, open that gate. And we will see:

Rev 21:2 And I saw the holy city, ""the new (Heavenly) Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God"", all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband;

The New Jerusalem

John 14:
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Right now, Christ is preparing a heavenly place for us!

Here is a glimpse:
(Revelation 21:2-6-10-14-16-17-23)

2 I John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,

6 Jesus said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning & the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God

14 the city had twelve foundations

16 the city lieth foursquare, & the length is as large as the breadth: & he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length & the breadth &d the height of it are equal.

(Furlong 1/8 mile = 660 feet. 1500 miles wide, 1500 miles long, 1500 miles high)

17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty & four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. (walls 216 ft thick made of 10 different precious stones)

21 the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every gate was made from one pearl: & the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. (PEARLY GATES!)

23 the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof (filled by the Shekhinah Glory of the Lord!)

It is also 1500 miles high. No oxygen in space.
Think of a Borg Cube but populated with the Saints of the Most High instead of evil robots. It has its own environmental controls.

The book of Revelation, as with the rest of the Bible, is written in parable language (Psalm 78:1-2, Mark 4:34) so that physical descriptions are intended to describe spiritual situations. The tree of life mentioned is Jesus, for example, and the pure river is the word of God and the spirit. Elsewhere in the book, the sword coming out of Jesus' mouth is not a physical metal sword but is a physical picture intended to illustrate the word of God coming from his mouth. The two witnesses are a physical picture but this is describing the true believers generally and the fire coming out of their mouth is not a literal physical fire but is the judgment side of the gospel, if any reject the gospel they have. An earthquake is a way of describing the shaking of faulty gospels, not a literal earthquake. And so it goes with physical illustrations in the book. The huge physical cube as the New Jerusalem is Bible lingo that is really describing spiritual realities, not a huge physical cube. Just as there is not a physical metal sword coming out of Jesus' mouth, so the physical description of the New Jerusalem is likely describing something else than the physical. Jerusalem is the people of God I think. Walls in the Bible are pictures of salvation. By saying that the New Jerusalem has walls, it is the Bible's way of saying that there is salvation there, for the people of God. Physical walls can give some security perhaps in physical earth at the present, but walls in the Bible is talking about the security of God having saved his people. We read about this: "but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise." This also tells us that gates are not physical gates but are pictures of praise. We enter his courts with praise, after all. Measurement is included in the description of the New Jerusalem because God's people are measured in the Bible. In fact, a measure of faith is given to each believer: "according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."
