Healing Christians sensing/feeling energy.

For some time now as a christian I have been able to see and feel the energy thing coming from our bodies or whatever it is that surrounds us. I always feel curious when people pray for each other and automatically put their hands out for someone close by without physically touching. I wonder if they realise they are making that connection where the 2 surrounding aura things on the people join in close proximity. I wonder if the lord gave us that for ministry because I only notice christians do it.

I was talking to someone who has a gift of healing who can feel where someone hurts by running his hand outside their bodies at a distance to locate the place.

has anybody else experienced this? I have always wondered what those with the Christian spiritual gift of healing see and feel. Can anyone else see or feel energy in ministry etc?

Usually i keep this to myself for fear of condemnation and dont tell anyone christian or not.

An older wiser christian revealed he is similar to me in being able to sense surrounding energy.

I thought I might bring it into the open and hopefully discuss it in terms of spiritual gifting.

Yes I have felt this. It usually happens with myself. I heard the Lord tell me to lay hands on a few people but have never done it. I felt bad not doing it. I have been to a few healing ministries and while I was there it never felt right. You have to have discernment. Some christians believe they have automatic power when really they havent. If I want healing I go to God.

From my understanding, people with the gift of healing are guided by the Holy Spirit to do what they do. It takes many manifestations based on a person's reactions or thought patterns or how the Holy Spirit wants. Some people just know right off the bat, some do what you described, and some have to pray for days until they figure it out. It really just depends. When Christians raise their hands, it is more metaphorical and keeps our focus on one thing. You don't have to point your hands at the person, but it helps, and God tells us to "lay hands on the sick". Wether this is metaphorical or literal, I don't know. I do it, but not out of some ritualistic or necessary sense. God is God, and heals as He sees fit, not based on my personal actions, but on my intent.

Some non-Christians can feel what you just described too. They say they sense 'aura' or something.
Im not too sure about this topic, but you would know that we are all Spirit men and women. We radiate energy.

Just placing a finger close to the bridge of your nose upwards to the top close to the middle of your two eyes, dont touch your nose but let the finger stay really close and move it ever so slightly, you will feel a great amount of energy and feelings radiating through it.

Spiritually, that is why even at churches when they ask people to join hands together to say some prayers, its like a joint thing. Energies joining together to bring down a force. There is more power through that.

Regarding spiritual gifts of healing. Its the LORD who does the healing, and He can use any vessel (us humans) that he chooses, but mostly those He uses are the ones who have a lot of faith, or who pray hard for it. Healing takes having a big amount of Faith.
But its Jesus who does the healing, not man.

As said, Im not familiar with aura and stuffs, but if you feel you have the gift to sense these things, pray to God to keep and protect you, to watch over you, and to enable you use His true gifts to you for His Glory, so that the enemy will not have a way.

You may be unto some great works with the Lord, that He wants to do through you. If that is the case, take it slow, let Him lead, just be an obedient child and follow His commands. He will perfect everything that concerns you as you humble yourself before Him and trust in Him.

I dont like talking about it with fellow christians much for fear people might get confused i am talking about things similar with new age or occult stuff, because I have had some really negative responses. One young pastor tried to cast demons out of me as a response. It didn't change anything and even after prayer and fasting nothing changed. I am beginning to accept gifts of the spirit manifest in odd ways sometimes in us. The main thing is people are loved and Jesus is proclaimed so people can be offered a chance for salvation.

Thats why I said pray for the protection, guidance and upkeep of the Lord over your life. When you place your life and safety in God's hands and you trust in Him, You are good.
He will not let anything happen to a single strand of hair on your head

I trust my Father in Heaven. He protects His Children fiercely.

People can say anything they like. If you are sure its God's gifts, then go ahead and pray protection over it, and that all GLORY from it and for it points to the GIVER of the gift (God)

You dont have to see yourself as special for God to use you. Infact God likes the un-special part of you, or more like, He loves that you dont see yourself as special. Its humility.

God mostly always choose the lowly to shame the wise. God chose Moses who would never have thought he was anything special too.

Moses was slow in speech, not eloquent at all.

God does not look at anyone's degree, their skin color, their status, their grammar, their eloquence, their looks or their wealth. He simply chooses whoever He will choose for His work.

Lastly, dont tell everyone about the gifts God has given you. Some people are not happy that you have these gifts, whereas some will discredit it. Let the gift speak for itself when God uses you for HIS Glory.

If you will tell people, let it be those you trust and know very well, and pray about it as well beforehand.

That must have been pretty awkward, having an exorcism performed on you while not under the influence of a demon... Discernment these days...

Anywho, you may want to learn some of the "lingo" used in your particular gift, so you don't offset someone as you try to explain it. I don't know any really, as my gift is not specifically healing, and I can usually "out word" people and stay out of contention. May God bless you with a deeper understanding of your gift!

It isnt just limited to Christians...there are Cults that practice the laying on of hands also. But, it is only Christians that are getting the very presence of the Holy Spirit during such times of intimate encounters during prayer over another Christian . It is a spirit of love, agreement , concern which is being portrayed thru the laying on of prayer hands and it is Gods promise that wherever two or more are gathered in my name, there i am in the midst of them.

Rather than calling it 'energy' which carries the connotation of mystic and metaphysical , it is better to call it 'the power and presence of Gods Holy Spirit' which IS a real non-coporial Person that is present at the moment and who is in agreement with the prayers being offered up for the Other all in the name of Jesus.

You will find as you continue forward with your Christian walk, that, this is a very common occurence because its a fulfilled promise of God for our edification and yet another tangible proof of his existence and love for us.

I have heard people say that when they have been healed by the Holy Spirit, they have felt suddenly hot and maybe a little weak. Has anyone else heard this or experienced it?
