I have read both 'He came to set the captives free' and 'Prepare for war'.

Very interesting fiction.

I should stress these books are both fiction. Rebecca Brown originally passed them off as fact, but later was forced to admit that both books were entirely fiction. Apparently, her idea was to write a book on spiritual warfare-- much like Frank Peretti's "This Present Darkness," except unlike Peretti, she did not disclose that the books were just novels not biographical as they appear to be written.

I've read her books too, and am quite upset about all the stuff in there I was led to believe. Spiritual warfare is nothing like how she describes it, and none of the witches I've met act anything like what she sais they do. Satanists for the most part don't believe in Satan let alone worship him, and whatever spells and magic Pagans do doesn't work off of the principles Dr. Brown explains.

IOW, they're useless.

So Rick are you saying there is no spiritual warfare?

I never said, or even implied, there is no spiritual warfare. Quite the contrary, I have ministered in several countries and performed a number of exorcisms, as needed.

I would say that Peretti's books are probably much closer to what happens 'behind the scenes' in spiritual warfare than Brown's books (she has werewolves chasing people as a 'real' occurrence).

I only said that Brown eventually admitted her books are fiction.

Yes, Warnke was found to be a complete fraud.

As all this was coming out, we (the staff at a newspaper I was assistant editor of) were able to get an exclusive interview with his (then) wife Rose.

It's such a shame too, because he was a really funny comedian. If he had only told the truth, we would probably still be around today.
