Firstly I would say that since the Father never took on human flesh, He should never be artistically depicted since He doesn't have an earthly form to depict. That said, the triangle is probably something to do with the Trinity, I would imagine.

I have never really noticed this but if I had to guess then I would say it has something to do with the trinity most likely. If that isn't the answer then I don't have any other guess.

The father never took human flesh so there is no way to know what he looks like. Jesus is depicted as a middle aged man and when we think of a father we obviously think that the person would be older which is why this happens. But this doesn't work because we are thinking in human terms while the trinity is uncreated and eternal. Jesus came to us in the flesh as a human so that can be depicted with reasonable accuracy but the only way to be sure would be if they had camera's back then because even a painting won't be perfect.

If you Google God the Father and look at depictions of him, typically an elderly man, why is he depicted sometimes as being associated with triangles? Jesus is not often associated with triangles but the Father is. Is there Biblical interference with this? That is to say is it Biblical?

Have you ever thought about satan and pentagons?

Pentagon is a 5 sided shape of equal lengths and each has a 72 degree angle. I read somewhere how this relates to the number 5 like we often see related to the animal kingdom, and the image that I saw posted was that of a casino slot machine with the wild animals all over it and the number 5 boldly shown on the front. I've been keeping my eyes open for this and have noticed many similarities or perhaps better said, parallels to animals and the number 5 and pentagons and satanic symbolism. The number 72 may relate to the pyramid on US currency; I saw that there are 72 bricks of it's foundation and has 13 layers of bricks. The author is unknown and I can't recall every detail of everything I read and see each day so I can't offer much on the relevance of numbers and what they represent but they are present in both images, which is interesting.

I don't have any comments regarding triangles and the Father because I've never seen anything like that before.

I just thought of another thing, perhaps the triangle is a symbol that originates with a trinity and by those who believe in the Holy Trinity? Those images may change as your focus on searches and reading materials are on another faith? One faith may paint the image of Christ in a portrait quite differently from another, such like the Catholics and the Halo around the heads of figures, for example.

Technically, if one goes by the ruling at the Second Council of Nicea, depictions of the Father are a no-no.

Interestingly, one almost never sees iconic representation of the Father in Eastern iconography. But the West has been more...loose about this.

A triangular halo is given the Father in art, as others noted, to denote the Trinity.

Because it's not appropriate to depict the Father directly, the Father is also often symbolized in iconography and art in other ways, usually as the "Hand of God".

Another use of the triangle is when it surrounds the Eye of God, the triangle again symbolizes the Trinity and the eye symbolizes God's providence and sovereignty.

Do you really believe that the eye and pyramid are meant to depict our God?
Those symbols are more to do with Horus/Apollyon than they are to do with the most high.

From the Old Testament, we know that God is ancient (from before all eternity), referred to as male, and called a "Father." He can't be depicted accurately in art, but it's not difficult to figure out why it is that he's shown in paintings, etc. as an old man.

As for the triangles, I have never noticed this being much associated with the Father God...and I doubt that it's accurate to say that it is. But to the extent that some form of triangle has been used in reference to God, it would be because of our belief in the Trinitarian nature of God.

The eye within a triangle is a symbol of the Trinity and the sovereignty of God as found in Christian art.
