There are advantages to being on ignore. Now you can post safe in the knowledge that there will be no frustrating response from the person. When somebody indicates that the shape of the earth is a salvation issue, well, what can be said except heresy?
Do you doubt the alien conspiracy?

I'm waiting to be abducted....no go yet. I'll let you know if or when.
What I'd like to know is how these flat-earthers became aware of this dastardly plot. Obviously these aliens are pretty patient and great at planning since they've been working at it since ancient Greece and waited until the 1800s to enact the second step of their plot.

Well explain this logic, 1 Chron. 16:30 – “yea, the world stands firm, never to be moved.”
It's part of a verse from a psalm of thanksgiving, and like all poetry it is rich with imagery that is not meant to be understood literally.

Worship the Lord in holy array;
tremble before him, all the earth;
yea, the world stands firm, never to be moved.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice,
and let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!”
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it,
let the field exult, and everything in it!
Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy
before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures for ever!

When you can explain how fields can exult and trees can sing, how the earth can rejoice, only then will you be close to understanding that piece of a verse you've taken out of context.

My apologies for pressing you, but I don't understand what your collection of quotes is supposed to prove.

here's what I sent to the original opening post:

"Some of the world's greatest scientists agree that an earth fixed center of the universe is a valid cosmology. They just don't prefer it for one reason or another."

It was an attempt to encourge the poster to keep believing the Bible in regards to its entire creation story in Genesis because even science doesn't contradict it. Only scientists.

The original poster gave me a "like". Mission accomplished.

Then, like always, come the comments condemning my good for evil. I'm used to it after twenty years of experience.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification.

But 6275. atheq is not the word used for "moved" in 1 Chronicles 16:30. The Hebrew word used has this entry in Strong's: 04131. מוט mowt [mote]; a primitive root; to waver; by implication, to slip, shake, fall: — be carried, cast, be out of course, be fallen in decay, X exceedingly, fall(-ing down), be (re-)moved, be ready, shake, slide, slip.

We must also remember that the Scriptures were dictated to the sacred writers by the Holy Ghost. Thus, we take God’s Word for what it says, for He is the author of Scripture. There does not seem to be a compelling reason to depart from the literal and obvious sense of the following Scriptures which teach, both implicitly and explicitly, that the earth does not move.

Certainly, a literal interpretation is not untenable, nor does necessity require an alternative interpretation (because science has not disproved the geocentric theory; in fact, science also provides more evidence for geocentrism)

No, they weren't.
Inspired, yes; dictated, no.

I agree that the writers were inspired by God's Holy Spirit so we can believe what was written, but as you know, the bible wasn't written in English. The Hebrew word the Holy Spirit inspired the writer to use in the verse in 1 Chronicles is 04131. מוט mowt [mote], which Strong tells us means to waver; by implication, to slip, shake, fall. So in no way does that verse go against the earth revolving on its axis, or orbiting the sun.

No, that's pretty much what Moslems claim for the Koran

Apart from the fact that it is a hymn of praise full of symbolism. Seen any trees singing lately? Any fields rejoicing?

There you go telling porky pies again.
