BMX XXX is the other one I was trying to remember. I don't include GTA in the same category, since the nudity is entirely optional in the game. You can play around in the game and beat it without picking up the prostitutes. The other games focus on nudity, so they are in a different category.

Nudity in video games has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
It's a freaking cartoon.
I see naked cartoon girls as a necessary evil for a game that sucks on its own.
Thus I ain't gonna own it.

Language. I will not own a video game with bad language cause...it's a freaking video game.

So this pretty much nukes GTA. That's sad cause the game never needed any of those things to begin with. It was already good.

For me, it's a matter of taste. I don't like hearing the gratuitous "F" word come out of nowhere.

Certainly you should question all things you percieve, in growing up I learned that this world was based on distraction. Everyone likes to be distracted; whether it is to escape problems, or to distract others as a means of control.

But I don't think games can really hurt faith... Christ explained it best when he said nothing from without code defile, but that from within(Matthew 15:10-11). Christ confronting the people spoke that if God had santified you then you should it is God that has taken control of your santification(Luke 11:39-40).

Personally I feel that one should never give glory to evil,so I would tend to say as long as you dont feel the games are rightly to be enacted, you are okay. Just dont let these games end up distracting you from you gaze on God.

Seek grace in Christ...

I agree with you there about BMX XXX. However as for cussing, its hard to be in this world and not hear it. I heard it at least 3 times today at work. And I work at a toy store, so 2 times it was from kids around 14 years old. So, even though I don't care for cussing either, its a fact of life.

Ya, at my highschool we have to pass by a elementry playground to go to lunch, and I hear cussing from kids under 10 sometimes. And this is a Christian school. I think cussing is wrong, and I try not to (of course everyone slips) but I really see nothing wrong ith that in a game; if a game is going to be realistic, it's almost necessary. Sad, but that's just how it is. I see that in a lot of Christian books, ones with letters and stuff from other people, they include the cussing where it was used. It's not editted. I think it's the same for games.

Just because it's hard not to hear something, do you have to intentionally put yourself in that situation? heh.

Can games hurt faith? Uh, definitely. If for no other reason, the fact that you can get addicted to them and play them for hours upon hours. Make them your idol, heh.

I think Jesus had a different point when He spoke there. He said that what comes frmo the inside defiles a man - in other words, what's on the inside is what counts... what is in your heart comes out in your actions. So, the games you play, even, I think, show what is in your heart.

I'm not sure I want to have GTA3 in my heart
