Oh, who could have saw this coming? Who warned that nothing good would come out of Mubarak being forced out of office? Democracy indeed.
In all probaility the next Egyptian Government will not be any better than Mubarak's. However this does not nullify the yearning of the people for a more democratic state.

The people demand democracy and whether or not they achieve it or not is no reason for them not to have ousted a despot.

What many of you fail to see is that there is a trend world wide of dissatisfaction. The World bank announced that Food prices worldwide have risen to the point where the majority of people on this planet cannot afford a proper diet.

Hungry people will revolt! This has nothing to do with religion but rather the globalisation (libertarianism) that is infringing on the rights of people to a healthy and productive life.

They want us to be puppets on a string and we want to be free!

Let them be warned that the storm of uprisings and revolt are looming on the horizon.

the uprisings are justified, aulthough i dont thing they want a more democratic state being as the vast majority want strict sharia law.

true indeed.

the main problem in egypt is corruption. this is endemic there as it has been for thousands of years. its not going to change with sharia installed. changing the culture of corruption is impossible IMO. liberatarianism is good Imo but may never suite the egyptian people.

They want us to be puppets on a string and we want to be free!

they?

Let them be warned that the storm of uprisings and revolt are looming on the horizon.

if by they and them you mean the puppet masters, they are well aware of the brewing storm. they create wars, depressions, illnesses, recessions, ect. ect. ect...

Is that code for the illuminati?
When organised crime decided to get involved in legitimate businesses in order to launder their ill gotten money; They also got involved in the banking industry.

The result is that Banks invented legal loan sharking (credit cards being the main one) and are basically ripping the public legally. Also their power is such that no government on this planet can take them on. The IMF and other Banking institutions have conducted themselves as "Economic assassins" by destroying economically countries so that they can then buy assets at a bargain while bonding the country to long term slavery by lending them money at exorbitant interest.

First institutions such as Goldman Sachs or Moodys, degrade the status of a country so that country cannot borrow money at normal interest rates and then they move in as saviours when all they intend to do is rape the economy.

The Quran tells about people who were infidels then became muslims, then disbelieved, then became muslims again, then they disbelieved, they got hypocrite hearts at the end. Quran DID NOT say kill them !! so the 84%, if it is true, are following the sense of their childish minds.

Bukhari (52:260) - "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Bukhari (83:37) - "Allah's Apostle never killed anyone except in one of the following three situations: (1) A person who killed somebody unjustly, was killed (in Qisas,) (2) a married person who committed illegal sexual intercourse and (3) a man who fought against Allah and His Apostle and deserted Islam and became an apostate."

Bukhari (84:57) - "[In the words of] Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

Bukhari (89:271) - A man who embraces Islam, then reverts to Judaism is to be killed according to "the verdict of Allah and his apostle."

Bukhari (84:58) - "There was a fettered man beside Abu Muisa. Mu'adh asked, 'Who is this (man)?' Abu Muisa said, 'He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism.' Then Abu Muisa requested Mu'adh to sit down but Mu'adh said, 'I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle (for such cases) and repeated it thrice.' Then Abu Musa ordered that the man be killed, and he was killed. Abu Musa added, 'Then we discussed the night prayers'"

Bukhari (84:64-65) - "Allah's Apostle: 'During the last days there will appear some young foolish people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have no faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for whoever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection.'"

Abu Dawud (4346) - "Was not there a wise man among you who would stand up to him when he saw that I had withheld my hand from accepting his allegiance, and kill him?" Muhammad is chastising his companions for allowing an apostate to "repent" under duress. (The person in question was Muhammad's former scribe who left him after doubting the authenticity of divine "revelations" upon finding out that he could suggest grammatical changes. He was brought back to Muhammad after having been captured in Medina).

Reliance of the Traveller (Islamic Law) o8.1 - "When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed." (o8.4 affirms that there is no penalty for killing an apostate).

84 % want the death penaly for aposty. i think around 72% want strict sharia law.
Source? I saw a link in the news article to a pdf document but did not follow it. Also in what is reported to be newly released data (in the same article) only 4% of respondents say that Egypt is not Islamic enough.
If you have opened the pdf when was the data collected?

Note he said 'the koran does not say' not 'the hadith do not say'. ANd you have qouted hadith, not the koran.
