I totally agree with Matthew & Omotayo, follow their advises if you really need to be helped. Make sure you are born again and live a sinless life. Fellowship in a God fearing church and practice that link Omotayo sent you about Dr.Olukoya. Moreover, get hold of the book called your marital surveillance on Amazon and read the section on the mystery of midnight prayers.

I've had several snake dreams and they have all been symbolic. For me, they represent deceit. When I have these dreams, I pay careful attention to detail of what the snake/snakes are doing in the dream and every detail of what they look like, as well as, how I feel. The color can represent hair color, clothing or a number of things that can represent a person/persons.
If a snake bites, it could be a sign of confrontation.
The snake that was seeking you out, could represent someone trying to intimidate you.



I recently had a snake dream of 3 brown snakes intertwined on the surface of water. (A pond) The water beneath them was a bit murky but was clear everywhere else.

It represented 3 family members who often communicate between themselves. All 3 have brown hair. When a certain situation arose, they talked between each other with false assumptions instead of going to the source and getting the story from that person. It caused no harm to that person, however, it caused a bit of friction. (Hence, the murky water beneath them)

That's a new one, I don't think the Devil can implement dreams. No evidence either in Scripture or outside it either.

I think you're right. I'm just suspicious of certain dreams I've had... they were especially tempting to my flesh. It may have just been my flesh, but I'm also not ignorant of Satan's schemes.

Think about this: if Joseph had believed the way you do about dreams, he would have ignored the warning to take Mary and Jesus and flee to Egypt, and Jesus would have been slaughtered along with the rest of the infants.

Sometimes God DOES communicate with us through dreams. If you close yourself off to that idea, you may miss something important.

how do you know that the dreams are not prophetic ?

I don't know that for sure, but in most cases they probably aren't. If this particular dream about snakes IS prophetic, it may simply be a warning that the enemy (who is often symbolized by a snake or serpent) is trying to attack the OP. But there is nothing to fear if that's the case. The enemy has been overcome by Jesus. But it's important to remember that we do have an enemy and he is trying to undermine our faith.

I agree, and there are many here that claim they speak in tongues, and since Prophecy tends to go right along with that, I would there would be several here that would have no trouble interpreting this dream for the OP.

Now I did ask on a "tongues" thread if there were also prophets here and about some of the things they prophesied...actually I've asked a couple of times on different threads but no one speaks up. Doesn't make sense either, with all the people here that in touch with the Holy Spirit, I would think we could get this job done no problem.

Kind of off topic, but I think there are two kinds of prophets. In one sense, we are ALL prophets, because we are all called to speak God's word in a fallen world. But then there is a gift of prophecy, one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12, where someone is able to communicate God's message more directly to His people. For the record, the idea that prophecy predicts the future is incorrect, except that if we understand how God works, we may be able to see the consequences of peoples' actions in advance.

I don't see where we would need a prophet to interpret the OP's dream. And by the way, just because someone has one of the gifts of the Spirit, that doesn't automatically mean they have all of them.

That's very interesting and I think makes a lot of sense.

Who is that enemy is it the serpent? Is a serpent the symbol of evil? Are we talking about Satan?

Well, sure. Remember in the book of Genesis how Satan came to Eve looking like a serpent? There's a long tradition of using snakes/serpents to represent the devil.

Whether that'a fact or not, it doesn't make null the fact that a prophet would be a prime candidate for the task. Wasn't Danial a Prophet, and wasn't his interpretation of the dream one of the more prominent in the Bible? Who better?

I would never claim otherwise, yet odds are, as I already indicated, there are so many here that speak in tongues, seems there would be at least one prophet around, even though one might expect several. It really is a fair assumption if you think about it.

As most prophesies shall not be answered until after christs return and when Christ returns the truth shall be told and there will be no more lies how can those sort of prophecies mean much? If a lie can't be told then a prophecy can't be read. There shall be no false prophets in the name of Christ, is it wrong for a man or woman to think about their future and try and imagine different scenarios with Christ at the helm? I think not, shall Christians not think of the time before christs comes to our doors? Shall we not prepare for our salvation? Who shall silence a mans mind when he says he has dreamt of a symbol or heard an angel? Not me, I shall hear his message and I shall look for hope within its pages if there is hope then there is everlasting peace.

Why should I put words in your mouth ? What would be the sense in you having my words in your mouth? You mentioned that snakes and serpents ,are they the same thing?, Was connected to the devil? Do you think there is a chance that she could have been visited by the devil? Or sent a message from God about the devils? Should we ask or is it ok to speculate ? Have I broken some kind of rule? Am I allowed to ask such a question? Should I have asked Lesesa the question maybe as it was her dream, I don't want to get any more people vexed for asking questions if I can help it, I feel like I'm on borrowed time here and I would miss the Christian fellowship of you all.

Why would someone hate you? Do you not come here to give hope to your brothers and sisters. Your symbol says your church of the Catholics. Am I not correct in saying that the light of Christ shines to you through the blessed mother? In my church we have no mother to guide us. How does the blessed mother speak to her flock?
