If the MCU ever does a Squirrel Girl movie and doesn't cast Kristen Schaal, I'll be very disappointed.

-- A2SG, with or without the bunny ears, I can go either way....
Dang, you are right. She would make the perfect Squirrel Girl. Come on Disney executives, green light this movie stat. :)

Maybe in 2030, we could have a new MCU universe starring Kristen Schaal. Here is some general info about Mrs. Schaal on Wikipedia for those who want to have a new Marvel movie:

While I certainly can agree, imagine being 23yo when the Etch-a-Sketch was introduced, sure it was “for kids” but it was fun too!
This ”AI slop“ is the necessary “fun” before the “terror” as in The Blob (1958).

If a machine gains sentience, it’s going to assess it’s environment, and where it “fits” into the scheme of things. We’re at the foothills of the abyss, enjoy the ride!
Thank you for defending me. I am 24, so young people get fascinated with technology, and want to use it. Wait, The Blob has Steve McQueen in it. He was really big during the 20th century. I was not around during that time, but if the movie is good, maybe I should check it out, cos I like movies from the second half of the 20th century and first two decades of the 21st century the most.

Don't worry, my computer will not gain sentience, yet. ;) It has completed learning almost 20 political documents though (including a political history textbook or two), from the left, center and right.

Why do you hate the Senate and House clerks so much?
Oh, I think every bill should be read aloud in it's complete form by actual Congresscritters in open session. Make them really economize their words.
I thought that was the plan.
What, to antagonize the Left? Are they THAT mean that they would produce a 900 page document just to yank Woke chains? Maybe.

How will the different parties address the problem of rising housing costs?
Here is the answer from the machine. I have no idea why it only quoted Democratic sources, when it has Republican sources at the ready as well.

Prompt: How will Democrats and Republicans address the problem of rising housing costs? What would a more moderate (centrist) approach be to this issue?

Not sourcing wider than the DNC is odd. Has your AI become ... partial?

How do we know you are not some AI chatterbox?
I'm really tempted to make a snarky joke about the "I" standing for intelligence, but I don’t want to get into trouble for flaming :fire:

I have no idea what is going on inside the AI. Maybe the prompt needs to be different (addressing housing affordability vs. rising costs), as Republicans seem to discuss less about rising housing costs compared to Democrats. I am installing more RNC and DNC info though, this time from 1960 to the end of the 20th century. Supposedly, Mistral is one of the more moderate AI systems out there.

I'm 50+ and am looking forward to the time when I can start playing with AI.
(Just hard to get the dedicated time to actually build an AI Box currently)

Well, you need a computer with 16 GB or RAM or more for a small AI model. I have 8 GB of RAM, and my laptop runs slow. It is fun stuff. If you need any help, ask a question in the tech section of the forum, and others here may be able to help you choose the right computer parts, while I can help you find the right AI model.

It is cool that we both enjoy locally run AI software. :) Hey, goes to show that any age can be into the latest technology.

Hello folks. Yesterday, I downloaded Project 2025, the DNC platform, and a 3rd party platform onto my computer just for kicks. As a moderate, this thread is to ask the artificial intelligence software questions, and I will relay the responses* back to you guys. Also, I might install the Libertarian platform, if such a thing exists as well. Right now, the AI is learning the documents, so it might take a few hours before this thread can get on a roll. I do not like the concept of Project 2025, but maybe the AI will say some good, or bad things about it.

The machine is learning, as shown below. :)

*Disclaimer: In no way does the artificial intelligence model, Mistral AI, represent my own personal opinions. AI generated answers are based partially on the AI's training data, along with any selected files for the machine to process (known as retrieval augmented generation). Retrieval Augmented Generation can be turned off, so do not worry, the AI will not be permanently turned into a politician.

Why are you uploading project 2025?

I see no point in that .. if you're uploading Kamala's policy platform and 3rd party platforms how come you're not uploading Trump's policies too?

I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish?

Is this just something you're doing that isn't about helping with election research?

Or are you just wanting to do something for the Democrats and want Republicans to stay away?

I'm curious, if you just want Republicans to stay away I'm good with that, just curious. Thought I'd ask before staying out... Cause the sign you just hung says no Republicans.

You can ask AI to only give you Republican sources.

That is not the procedure. Bills are read by a clerk, not members. Members generally waive the reading of the bill without objection.

To create a document so thick no one would read it or pay attention to it. They were wrong.

I know. I want a change of procedure to make the Congresscritters have to read aloud their own bills, unwaivable, so bills would be shorter. The Nancy Pelosi statement that "We'll just have to pass it to see what's in it" was a bit bald. Every Congresscritter should be responsible for everything they voted for. Massive omnibus bills where nobody knows what's in it should not be allowed either. It's all too bloated.
