I d don’t know about New York law but it sounds contrary to the 6th amendment. How can I make a defense if I don’t know which crime I’m accused of committting?
You and your attorney are free to peruse the indictment to guide you as “discovery” materials arrive.

Going to the appellate level with:
”We couldn’t figure out what crime we were defending our client against, your honor!” makes for fun forum rhetoric, but not what a lawyer will ever admit to, if they’d like to remain a lawyer.

The specificity of whichever criminal statute each juror thought Trump violated or conspired to violate in his conspiracy to alter the election by illegal means was not included on the verdict form. We will never know. The did all agree that the conspiracy existed, regardless of which crime(s) they thought trump committed.
This will become the new “Obama’s Birth Certificate“, just-you-watch, “where are the verdict forms!?, why won’t ‘they’ let us see them, what are they hiding?”

This might be a very deep rabbit hole!

Yes, as a predicate of the predicate crime. Trump was on trial for falsifying business records with intent to conceal a conspiracy to effect the election. That charge was broad, but really all Trump needed to do was create reasonable doubt that such a conspiracy existed and the specific illegal means wouldn't matter.
It matters to be able to prepare a defense and the 6th amendment protects from such vague charges. The judge knows that this case will be overturned, he gave these instructions to ensure a conviction for political purposes.

I’d be asking which of the three my client was guilty of

And again.

New York’s highest court leaves Trump gag order in hush money case in effect

New York’s highest court has declined to hear Donald Trump’s appeal on the gag order in his hush money case, according to a decision list posted Tuesday.

The gag order, issued by Judge Juan Merchan in the criminal case against Trump, remains in effect.

Separately, Trump has asked Merchan to terminate the gag order ahead of his sentencing scheduled for July.

[And if Merchan denies it, I suppose Trump can start appealing *that* up the chain.]

New York’s highest court has declined to hear Donald Trump’s appeal on the gag order in his hush money case, according to a decision list posted Tuesday.

Merchan has rolled back part of the gag order. Trump can talk about witnesses (Cohen, Stormy) and jurors (but obviously not identifying juror information).

Judge lifts parts of Trump gag order ahead of sentencing in New York criminal case

Trump, however, cannot discuss any prosecutor, court staffer or their family members, according to a court order on Tuesday from Judge Juan Merchan that rolls back parts of the gag order imposed before the trial began. That aspect of the gag order remains in effect at least until his sentencing, which is set for July 11.

Finally, Donald J Trump is held accountable for hiding his sordid behavior from the American voter.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 11.

Judge in Trump's hush money trial delays sentencing following Supreme Court immunity ruling

The hearing, previously scheduled for July 11, will be delayed until at least September 18.

Trump's team on Monday sent a letter to Merchan asking to brief him on the Supreme Court's Monday ruling, which said that the former president has some immunity from prosecution related to his "official" acts as president.

Such as paying off pornstars and falsifying his private business documents.

Prosecutors didn't object to the delay, although they stated they didn't expect this challenge to work.

Delay seems to be the name of the game.
