I ask this question because if God was before any creation how did he spend his time or what ever it is he passes moments by.

So what was he doingBefore creation there was no time, no moments to pass.
God's activity in time is only meaningful for us who experience time. God is before and after all things, without distinction.

So what was he doing
It may be except God created us in his own image and likeness. It is hard to think of him as has been described hereTrying to think of God in human terms is futile.

I would venture to guess drawing up blueprints for the adornment of the universe....I ask this question because if God was before any creation, how did he spend his time or what ever it is he passes moments by.

So in your opinion what is the purpose for his creatingIn the Baha'i view God has always been creating...the process has been ongoing and will continue..He is the Creator.
Consequently just as the reality of divinity never had a beginning, -- that is, God has ever been a creator, God has ever been a provider, God has ever been a quickener, God has ever been a bestower, -- so there never has been a time when the attributes of God have not had expression.
(Abdu'l-Baha, Foundations of World Unity, p. 107)
The Creator always had a creation; the rays have always shone and gleamed from the reality of the sun, for without the rays the sun would be opaque darkness.

For what purposeBaha'is recite a prayer that goes in part like this
"Thou has created me to know and to worship Thee..."
and what we call a "Hidden Word" that goes:
"O SON OF MAN!
I loved thy creation, hence I created thee. Wherefore, do thou love Me, that I may name thy name and fill thy soul with the spirit of life."
(Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

The Bible states that humanity was created in the image of God, but what does it mean to be created in the image of God?Being created "in god's likeness " clashes with omniscience, omnipotence and pretty much any other divine trait. Each of these is a total game-changer, and any entity possessing even ONE of these would be fundamentally different from homo sapiens.
