Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly. - Proverbs 17:12

A mother bear will get really mad when you mess with her cubs (whelps). Try to warn someone away from their sinful fantasies and he will get angry too!

Hi,

There is much there today. One verse more than ever before might mean to me today, what it has always meant.

This day though, maybe I understood.

Proverbs 17:28

28 Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

I think this hopefully means that a fool, ceases to be a fool, when he is intelligent enough finally, to be quiet, thus it is his first entrance into what is called fear of The Lord, and does not all wisdom Come from realizing that God is Real, and we should always care about His feelings, which He does have?

Hahahaaaa! This is hilarious.

What it seems to be saying, is that God will extend grace and favor to someone who keeps his mouth shut rather than say something utter foolish, in that the one keeping his mouth shut will be interpreted to be very wise and will thusly gain favor with others.

Our loving Heavenly Father loves us at all times and it is wonderful to have a Friend like Jesus who 'sticks by us closer than a brother'. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. How good it is also to have friends like that!
