Proverbs 13:
i love that God actually describes us as His "candles"....like He lit us as "candles", so that we reflect His Light.
He Himself LIT us up!!
Is that delightful or WHAT??!!
yes, I like candles! Shine for Jesus!
I have always kept this in mind...
and Zephaniah 3;17 is wonderful!Proverbs 13:
This bears repeating. This is deeep. The "Light" of the righteous "rejoices"! That's like "celebrating", isn't it? And "joy overflowing"?
Reminds me of this:
"the joy of the Lord is your strength." ~Nehemiah 8:10
and this:
"The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." ~Zephaniah 3:17
Amen.
and Zephaniah 3;17 is wonderful!
The Word of God, the owner's manual, surely only a fool would not read and obey
Proverbs 13:
Wise warnings.
I was watching a video (well actually a few) on remembering David Wilkerson. He was killed instantly in a car crash on Wednesday April 27, 2011. In his many many messages, there was always wise teachings and admonishments and warnings. his aim was to "break through" complacency, and to steer clear of "candy cotton" sermons, and to speak the TRUTH and CLARITY and NON-COMPROMISING message from God's own Holy Spirit. It wasn't his aim that those listening would hear "HIM", but instead hear the Holy Spirit "through" him.
That is why his words were always a "fountain of life" and turned so many from the snares of death, literally, starting with his words to hardened gangs in New York, as he stood his ground, and challenged the hatred, and the violence, and the "death culture" that inundated New York, and where other men feared to tread.
David Wilkerson, a wise teacher whose words were a fountain of life, and who turned many from the snares of death.

Keep your mouth shut. That one gets me in trouble........
