I'll explain why i'm posting this. If you ignore the LSD-like animations(yes it's a pretty odd video), there's a beautiful meaning behind the lyrics that's show in the animations.

I think this will help you understand how an Atheist can still see death as a beautiful thing. It is awful of course, but just because there's no afterlife doesn't mean my life ends.

And like that I was torn out and thrown in the sky
And I said all my prayers because surely I'll die
As I crashed down and smashed into earth, into dirt
How my skin did explode leaving only my shirt
But from shirt grew a tree and then tree grew a fruit
And I became the seed and that seed was a brute
And I clawed through the ground with my roots and my leaves
And I tore up the shirt and I ate up the sleeves

Basically what this means to me is that even though I will inevitably die, and my body will rot, my atoms, and everything that composes life will give birth to it again. It's the life cycle. I will die, but from every death gives life to something new, I will allow a tree to sprout, and that tree will grow a branch, from that branch a fruit, from that fruit food for a creature. The fact that from my death I will in turn give life, you may see as depressing, but I see that as a beautiful thing.

I wouldn't usually post this on a christian forum because I know it will not mean even close to the same thing for you as it does to me. But I hope at least someone can extract a deeper meaning from it, no matter what beliefs they have.

Without further ado:

I will die, but from every death gives life to something new

Most matter does not live again. 100% of matter never lives.
Give or take a tiny bit on one planet in the cosmos.
Enjoy your time off!

Thank you for entering a thread meant for a good meaning and trying to make me feel bad for doing so. Maybe if you werent still angry that you couldn't find a valid argument on the muslim discrimination thread about slavery in the bible, you wouldn't come on a thread with good intent not even meant for debate and turn it in to a platform to put me down and belittle. Pathetic.
