Well, heres what I have to say about that. First off I found out about Creed (Scott Stapp) because some people said my son sounded like him in a song or two. In my perspective, Scott sometimes sounds like my son! LOL

So, thats how I discovered Creed, which by the way, I love his voice. My son just sings the way he sings. Some songs are different and a softer voice is used and some songs are rougher, because the feel of the song dictates. I see him everyday create songs and work on them, and believe me, he has no agenda to steal a sound. And neither are other artist, no one is ripping off of anyone. We know the guys from Jonah 33 (who we love also) and they are not ripping off anyone either. They are just making there own music. Where do these accusations come from?? Why would it irritate you if one persons voice sounds like someone elses?? Don't you realize that serious musicians always want to be unique, so the last thing they want to do is "rip someone off". Unless of coarse they are like Michael Tait, and doing a tribute thing like he has done with the Nat King Cole version of The Christmas Song, which by the way is beautiful! Any ways, if you don't like a certain bands vocals, don't listen to them, it is your choice, but why waste your time and everyone else's by falsely accusing. These Christian artists don't have it easy, they are not rolling in the dough and they are constantly getting bashed for one thing or another.....they are Too Christian, They aren't Christian enough, They are ripping off a style, or sound, etc. etc etc. As the mother of an up and coming Christian band member, I have got to say that I am not pleased with the reaction I see from the "Christian" community when it comes to Christian artists! I have heard, first hand from other artists that this is one of the most discouraging aspects of entertaining the "Christian" audiences. Where is the Love that Christ spoke of? Look at it this way, if we didn't have Christian musicians putting out Christian music, secular music would be the only choice we would have besides hymns. So, just for that reason, I am thankful for Christian Contemporary music, and will do whatever I can to support it and the musicians who bring it to me!!!! I pray you all do the same

If you only knew the true sacrifices they make to do what they do, I think you might be more compasionate and appreciative!! End of sermon! Thanks for listening, and if you agree, go out and find a Christian musician and give em a hug and tell them what you appreciate about them.

God Bless you all!
