Your question assumes we have control over our own destiny.

Suppose we don't? Suppose it's God who chooses when a person will be saved?

Paul said that it is the gospel that is the power of God unto salvation. The gospel has the power to elicit a response in those who hear it.

The problem is how does God save people? Once understood in terms of grace, it never involves the human will. He saves sinners who hate him and turns them into repentant believers that now love him.

It always involves our cooperation with God’s will. God never saves anyone against their will.

I believe it is not right to risk that should leave judgement to God to accept christ as Saviour as your only hope and to be Lord to repent of sins and let it be known to those who know you you are christian and that believe people need to be saved. That is what bible means whoever believes and confesses jesus will be saved.The one who buried his talent is the one who purposely was enemy to this and didnt repent of that. I watched a video from off the kirb ministries where cs lewis said 2 things among maybe 3 that the devil tries to convince people to send them to hell 1 of which they are good enough to go to heaven because they have done some works and the other is that they have time.

If we were to die this minute what would be our ground for acceptance because we did some good but we have all broken law and requires perfect law keeping which we can never pay that we must be justified by faith that God sees jesus in us which is why christ died because the law commands full law keeping and the wages of sin is death.To go to heaven therefore is fully the grace of God but we must keep the law to be worthy to stand then as st john says not to be saved by fire. So people should put their trust in christ to only hope from that to be saved and still do good to be saved on death and to have perfect communion now and leave judgement of other christians to christ.

As I believe my dad explains to me the parable of the rich man and lazarus was really about jesus that moses and the prophets prophecied about christ which the gentiles represented by lazarus needed to hear but the jews wouldnt teach the law and prophets before christ came to preach to them but they had been accepted by wanting to hear the truth that they dont know and willing to accept and neither did they believe later to preach but gentiles accepted when He rose from the dead when the soldiers reported empty tomb.

I believe actually it is right to trust God justice and safest to believe works are necessary atleast if there is opportunity and safest to help all but if there is not one does not have to do if cant do that I believe God will understand because cant know that I think it may be only those in your path brought to you and which is easily in your reach now it is required to help but I dont know to be safe should seek to help many but not need to too many who are hungry naked sick and in prison and stranger to ensure to be ready incase you die when not seeking but one only needs to seek to do work one at a time that if one was and he dies he is saved.

I believe we are saved by faith said in ephesians not of works lest any boast for we are His workmanship for good works just to do if you have opportunity that everyone who calls on the Lord is saved even if past opportunity to do good but we are saved for good works and needed to do to be saved upon death as below picture shows we have talents we should use to be rewarded to enter kingdom on death but otherwise one would be saved in world to come as jesus said if the one who buried his talent only was profitable because he didnt even let others who know him know the way and he was condemned out of his mouth that is to say because he was not repentant but he would have been saved in the world to come.

Just my personal opinion on the subject but from what I gather from 1 Corinthians 13 we need faith and love. The combination of these two should result in works.

”If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.“

The bible says any can be saved while it is not possible for some to do works that whoever calls on the Lord can be saved to be repentant is enough which includes to have love for those who dont have opportunity to do works.

I dont think it is right to take risk even though I seemed to support others but is wrong that truth is important and should be left to christ that I believe all should receive christ as Lord and saviour and leave judgement of other christians to christ for everyone needs christ and all christians must share to all who they know who never heard gospel and important to be born again for christ to lead one and trust in christ now to have His imputed righteousness.

Because without trusting in that even if you seek to do works and have sin christ sees it for any one sin leads to condemnation and the wages of sin is death that one must put one faith in the finished work of christ for all time so that if one has sin at any time christ does not see it which is not excuse to live in sin to trust in Him for all time His righteousness that one depending on self that they can be in state without sin by their doing so need His righteousness.

I dont believe one needs to be baptised but one can be and I do seek to be just to prove it makes no difference to have a part in salvation one day.So all should receive christ as Lord and saviour obeying Him to ensure to be saved and raptured if there is and leave judgement of other christians to christ. As matthew 25 says no one knows timing of rapture but we know timing of second coming to be 3.5 years or 7 years that can guess the time by hour it should happen the latest by.

I suppose it is possible to sell all your possesions that Jesus did not say it has to be sold for much. I thought if you have many possesions you cant sell them in a moment unless you sell the whole house so it is the owner of the house who only can sell it all. But now I realise Jesus did not mean that I need to sell everything as I am not the owner of the house and most of my possesions were given to me by my dad that I can leave them all with my dad except some being mine that I accept some to be kept for me as wages for what is mine as though sold for an amount that I need to seek to sell some of my possesions but if anyone seeks to sell his possesions he can be saved even if it is not possible with time but he keeps no possesions.

The point is to have no possesions for self except what is necessary for you as poor to survive and to serve God that you can keep some things like books that can help you find a job. It is the owner of the house that must sell everything except to keep some for his needs not to be poor and can keep work that supplies just needs but otherwise the rest is to the poor.Jesus did not mean you can not have possesions permanently but you must obey Him and only have possesions when He says it is ok otherwise just to have for your needs. Or it is more right no one must have any possesions if there is no chance to sell so that he can be saved if on a plane that is enough if he takes his wages as just what he needed for plane ticket.

Doesn't seem right that a person can struggle their whole life to be accepted by God and be saved and another can be a raucous fool and be saved in his last minutes.

That is the grace of God because God is merciful. He told a parable of the workers of the vineyard to show we must not criticise God for His kindness and they still must repent to have godly sorrow and God shows that not all get chance to live longer so one can not presume He definitely will that it may be God allows some to because He did not give as much chances to one younger but God is fair to give each all chances they need.

Actually I dont think it is required to sell everything or much just to be saved on death as you can be overseas and die before it is possible to go home to do so but we know bible says anyone can be saved but if rich one is required to share because he will have money with him always the bible says for the rich to be rich in good works willing to share that it is not required to sell everything but to share good part with those in need I dont know how much but is safe to give most and can work in business to keep for running business and share rest. But I think it may be is required to fulfill God will to be saved on death and to be blessed by God to sell all your possesions except what you need for your survival and can keep some now such as books for what you will use to serve God now.

I believe it was not wise to risk that was mistake to support going to churches that dont teach to receive christ as Lord and Saviour that the decision to receive christ as Lord and saviour comes with responsibility that it is not right to go to church unless the priests receive christ as Lord and saviour only if priests accepts and lets you as servant preach truth to say to others as servant to trust only christ otherwise right to stop serving in church.One can still support people financially one does not agree with but one is called to come out but even still seeking money or position is not an excuse as Paul said each is supposed to support themselves and if people refuse to receive you that is when one should cease being a priest it becomes idolatry to seek position above truth but one is called to come out.The bible says to come out from them.

That you can only go to church not in showing you are part of them but for sake of family events such as baptism just to spend time with family to support that you care but not for church and one can baptise children even if not accept church doctrine that should not that can just pretend to and neither must priest that the church had no other choice but to teach one baptism is still valid even if priest is not following church doctrine otherwise others wont trust their sacraments because sometimes priest is not following and so not many request rebaptism that they are responsible for if one thinks not valid.Or they may claim a parent must believe but it is not right that better to pretend to that even still it is right to trust in the Lord and not in man that no one needs to be baptised by church.

It is not required which I only taught to be safe to give most of your money to charity that you dont need for running business for your needs if it is not possible you need only to seek to do what is possible but should seek to do because you may die when you are not seeking to and if you were truly seeking you would be doing what is possible and if you dont die it would be done but one only needs to do what is possible if you die before.

The truth is everyone that is supposed to hear gospel has heard it or will hear it we should only preach by actions and others who invite us to and let others we know acquaintance we are believers and to defend the truth against false teaching just to show care. We do not need to risk to preach on street as jesus says not to cast pearls before swine those who dont value it lest they attack you. Only when christ gives confirmation He wants us to.

I believe is a mistake to teach we are saved by doing works but if you are saved you will do works if you are given chance or you show your faith is not genuine that you are not worthy as you are given chance to prove you truly receive christ and you dont but otherwise you are saved even without works if you are killed for it is not about needing to do works but works have to represent your faith to show you are worthy if given chance so such is reason to be bold for jesus for bible commands us to share faith in the great commision to preach to every creature though that does not mean you have to reach everyone but that no person should be seen as does not need gospel that God wants to use one to do to some though not need to all because no one can do to all but to those who you know who have not heard others defend gospel to be deceived but should also seek to do to all but not required except to them for most have heard gospel as God ensures it was preached to everyone who must hear gospel but they may be deceived by other false teachers.

I believe actually salvation is a gift of God not of works lest any man boast but God has prepared works only His to follow to preach gospel. Matthew 25 is really just to show that if you are believer you would have done one work to christ by receiving a stranger in christ and you still do but others no matter how many are needy did not make those who never knew about christ interested to help which is right to care which would help them learn about christ to receive christ so that christ is ministered to in receiving Him after learning about Him by doing to the needy and never received stranger either but if person thinks he must do works he can do I dont believe God will judge him for that that he does not know. And the rich must be rich in good works to lay hold on eternal life but not to be saved as though it is necessary that is right to trust that as bible says not of works lest any boast that is works that is not possible for all to do now for even one can be killed for preaching gospel and not have chance to but bible says any can be saved if repents for any action but if others are worried can.

That is all who do remain in such a state not overcoming by taking freely of the water of life to accept christ and repent

Though I thought works are not important because you can not always do because you can be killed we should take that God will take as exception as He allowed one to be killed for preaching which was a command or being christian but works are expected when there is opportunity and that you have to seek to do good while preaching that faith is never alone for those who are genuinely christian that God did not allow one to die so should do otherwise we should assume He will give chance in the world to come and those who are rich should be rich in good works but if they can not do work God accepts that only must seek to do but should seek to do as may not have opportunity to call to christ to seek to do that can die when not seeking to do and if one did not die it would be done but if one did die before can be saved. So rich should seek to be rich in good works but if not possible seeking is enough but if one was seeking and one did not die it would be done so should be seeking to do otherwise if you dont you may die when not seeking and if you dont it will be done.
