First off: [pong]Welcome to CF staticblue![/pong]

Second: If you don't want a Christmas tree don't have one. See how easy that was? :) I used to not want to have a christmas tree (someone told me that same scripture) then someone said "uhmm if you cut a tree down, decorate it and start worshiping it, then you have a problem." which made sense to me. :) But you have to follow what you think is right.
tulc(who's going to go get a tree this weekend...no really, I am! :sorry: maybe I'll take my oldest grandson! that would be cool!) ;)

So if Christianity borrows from the Devil Satan, is this not the same as taking the mark of Lucifer, when you incorporate evil to justify it to be good...Does it really make sense to say that the Almighty could not give His saints enough resources to honor Him...Wherefore we had to turn to the Devil and accept His deception of idols, that Lucifer may share the glory with the Messiah, as they merge together as two corporations? When was it possible for evil to ever become good and where did the Most High give this authority? The harm in worshipping idols to honor any god, is that it comes from man as a lie and not from the true and living Yehowah...Everything that man use to represent as a god is false worship, because man made false gods...Anything that's false is not of the truth and He is the truth and the way...Yes, if we are to follow the truth, then we cannot have false idols, which are of a lie, even if the truth makes us lose peace with our brother, in order to live forever...Stand for something worthy once in your life and risk your happiness, by standing for the truth...A little white pagan lie mixed with the Messiah truth is still a lie...If you truly love the Almighty and your children, but you don't love the world, then don't please the world to have pleasure only for a season.

I think the operative word there is "was". :) They were pagan but aren't any more. Haven't been for quite some time. But it does sound fun having those other holidays!
tulc(Happy New Year! by the way)

And it still is, if thats how pagans want to celebrate it. You have your way, the pagans can still keep theirs.

Sounds like all of our testimonies doesn't it? ;)

I don't get a Christmas tree to please the world, I get it because I like them. :)
tulc(who does truly love the Almighty :) )

I wanna thank you all for participating in this discussion.
I have enjoyed all of the insite that has been shared on this subject!
Please note....I still am undecided about the traditions that the church by in large currently holds that are not found in the Bible. I would like to restate that I don't believe that the trees are evil....that was just a grabber.
I placed this thread in an attempt to hear both sides of this issue.
It has worked great! :)

God bless you all...
